Review

The second lady football tipster to appear recently Chloe seems to have the gift if you take a look at the headline figures with quite astonishing results in the pre launch proofing. An ROI in excess of 100% is all but unheard of and if the live service were to match this performance there would be little business for other footy tipsters and the bookies would be struggling as well.

As with all betting Gods services you will receive a welcome email upon signing up and the service arrangements are clearly set out. Here the selections are normally advised the day before matches and give details of the stake and available odds. Some of the books suggested are a little obscure and prices have been close to those advised – a 100 point bank is suggested for the service.

A look at the results from pre launch gives a strong clue to what you might be likely to see – the underdog is the focus of the service with odds consequently on the high side for football. And the profit is generated from a few bets rather than consistently so if you cannot stomach some long losing runs this will not be for you.

In the main the selections have been in the 1×2 and Over/Under goals markets with some Double Chance and Asian Handicaps added. We have seen 70 selections in the trial with 14 of these (20%) successful. At no time was the bank in profit and we finished up with a loss of 44.5 points with 30p in every £1 staked going to the bookmaker. Only 3 days into the month we were told not to worry as Chloe has never had a losing month but that was the only comment received through the trial and it has turned out to be a false prophecy. The significant difference appears to be a reduction in the strike rate achieved.

The analysis shows that only the Over/Under bets show a profit and just 1 of them accounts for more than the overall gain in that sector. Presumably the theory here is that by selecting where the price indicates value over the true odds a profit should be achieved in the long term. What has yet to be demonstrated is an ability to pick such bets.

Based on the results we have seen the service cannot be recommended. The practice of promoting services with the pre-launch results taken into account is becoming rather misleading. The daily emails here quote profits since “Launch on 2nd June” whereas the public could not access the service until 30 September. Perhaps it might be more accurate to quote the figure as being profits since proofing began? Many services adopt this style and potential buyers should always check whether the tipster has managed to cope with the added pressure of a live service. Looks like this has been a struggle here.

To use the good old ‘Airplane’ comedy film line – “Surely someone has tried this one?” – Don’t keep calling me Shirley 🙂 With such a seemingly astronomical set of results anyone want to say how its going ?
