Racing Gold

How Much Money Do I Need to Get Started?

A starting bank of 250-points is now recommended by the service. However, this appears to be overly conservative given the historic performance*. This bank has been increased from the previously advised 100-points which we have used in the results summary.

How Much Money Can I Make?

The website shows an average monthly profit of 8.25 points since January 2014. This does not take into account the cost of the subscription.

How Much Time Will I Need to Make This Work?

This service can be followed in literally two minutes a day. With all selections placed to Betfair SP there is no searching for the best prices and no pressure to act immediately the tips are received.

Will I Need Any Equipment to Do This?

A PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet connectivity and a Betfair exchange account.

Value for Money?

I will wait for the conclusion of the review before offering an opinion on this element.

Quality of Customer Service?

Part of the Tipster Street stable of tipsters and benefits from the infrastructure that comes from that. My communication with the owner Neil has always been very professional and timely. When I have used the support link through the website, I have always received a prompt and helpful response.

Review

Racing Gold is into its seventh year on the Tipster Street platform, a longevity that simply implies a successful service. What’s more, this service operates in the Betfair SP (BFSP) markets.

The daily tips are either two-points to win or one-point to win and one-point to place on the Betfair SP markets. The email arrives between 09:00 and 11:00 each morning and simply has details of the selections and the bet type. Although the current Betfair price is quoted we record all of the results to Betfair SP as the markets tend to be quite immature at the time the tips arrive and there is insufficient liquidity to give everyone the chance of getting the quoted odds. There are occasions, therefore, when it may be an advantage to lock in the early price, although this can work both ways!

Historically, an average month had around 110 tips in total. However, recent months have seen this drop to 60-70, so just one or two tips per day.

Because the bets are placed to BFSP there is no mad panic to react immediately the email arrives to secure the advised odds.

Tipster Street’s pricing for its services remains amongst the most competitive in the market, so a successful tipster, working to BFSP, and available for less than £20 per month offers exceptional potential value. The quarterly option offers a three-for-two deal, effectively reducing the cost to just £13.32 per month!

According to the Tipster Street website, Racing Gold has averaged 8.25 points per month profit since January 2014 at an ROI (return on investment) of 4%. The historic strike rate is quoted as 37%.

Results – Month 1 (30th August to 29th September 2019)

A profit of 5.95 points for the first month, just below the historic average. The month started slowly before Sand Diego won at 7.0, advised as a two-point stake. After another little dip there was a run of seven winners from ten bets in a four-day period, resulting in a profit for that period of over 20-points. The last week was relatively quite with just eight bets and although seven of those lost, we still ended the period in the black.

Overall we saw 15 winning bets (three of which were to place) from 47 selections, a strike rate of 31.91%, slightly behind the historic average of 37%. The winners came at BFSP’s of between 1.91 and 7.60, the lowest win element being 2.08.

There were six selections which were backed as one-point win and one-point place.

The return on investment (ROI) was 7.26% before taking into account the cost of the membership. The net returns were 4.71% at £10 per point stakes and 6.74% at £50 per point.

Summary at End of Month 1

A solid month, not far off the historic average monthly profit.
