How Much Money Can I Make?

No specific claims, but the website shows four profitable months since launch in October 2017 generating a total profit of 276.55 points profit at over 60-points per month. However, the latest position is 202.81 points profit to 25th April 2018, an average of around 30-points per month.

Minutes daily when the tips are received.

Will I Need Any Equipment to Do This?

Value for Money?

Too early to reach a conclusion, but a disappointing start. Unfortunately, the disappointing start in Month 1 showed no signs of abating in Month 2. Although the final month provided some respite, we cannot award this service a value for money pass based on our trial. At £54 per 28 days, it is in the upper echelons of cost and hasn’t backed that up with results in the last three months.

Quality of Customer Service?

Not tested. Contact is via the members’ area of the website.

Review

Ronnie launched Northside Racing on the Betfan platform in October 2017 and had four fantastic months to start, generating over 275-points profit in just under four months. However, since then there has been a loss of almost 75-points in the next three months. The full breakdown of results is available on the Northside Racing page of the Betfan website.

Selections are from the win and each-way markets on UK horse racing. Generally there are two single selections which are also combined into a double (either win or each-way), or three single selections permed into three doubles and a treble as well.

Selections are received via e-mail on the morning of racing. The timing of the e-mails varies but is always well in advance of the first race. The e-mail contains details of the race time and track, selection, bet type, advised odds and recommended stakes. The e-mail follows the traditional Betfan layout which makes it easy to read and clear to follow the recommendations.

As with all Betfan services you need to be aware of the staking plan as few of their services uses single-point flat rate staking. Northside Racing uses a scale of one to five points per bet depending on Ronnie’s confidence level.

As a back up to the e-mail the selections are available on the members area of the web site and are also available via the Betfan App. The App has an alert feature which means it’s unlikely you will miss a selection or miss the best available prices if you use this option.

Results – Month 1 (26th March to 25th April 2018)

Of the 70 individual selections in the month there were only four winners (a winning strike rate of just 5.71%). In addition, there were 14 placed selections in each-way bets. The loss in the month was a whopping 186.72 points. The average stake per bet was 3.44 points.

With a recommended opening bank of 250-points this service needs a rapid turn around to avoid busting that figure. With two five-point singles and a two-point double not uncommon, there are potentially only five days of funds left to turn things around.

Northside Racing posts results using Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) which we do not include in returns due to the speed with which this benefit is being withdrawn from punters. Therefore, the results on the website are slightly better than those reported here.

Results – Month 2 (26th April to 25th May 2018)

Although the strike rate in Month 2 increased slightly from Month 1 it was still only 12.9% (8 individual selections from 62). With nothing in the way of successful doubles to bolster the results, the month ended with a further loss of 45.85 points, giving a running loss of 232.57 points after two months.

This means that our opening bank of 250 points is now down to just 17.43 points , and unless the final month of the trial gets off to a blinding start we are in danger of seeing the bank wiped out. There is little to dwell on from the results so far and we just wait for the final month to see if Northside Racing can regain some modicum of respectability.

Results – Month 3 (26th May to 25th June 2018)

The final month of our trial finally provided some respite for the service, with just shy of 30 points profit secured. However, this was a drop in the ocean against the previous two month’s losses and left the final tally for three months at a loss of 202.63 points. The strike rate continued to climb, hitting 15.52% in Month 3, but this still left the overall performance at a disappointing 11.05%, mainly on the back of the very poor first month.

The final month started with just one placed selection in the first six and saw our bank drop to just 3.93 points! Thankfully, the next two days delivered a combined 58.18 points of profit to pull the bank back from the brink of going bust. Unfortunately, that was as good as it got, with the remainder of the month bumping up and down, but ultimately losing a further 14.73 points.

Summary at end of Month 1

With such great historic results behind it, total profit was over 340-points at the end of February 2018, I was expecting better from this service. However, as those of you who regularly read my reviews and articles will know, I don’t write off on one bad month and don’t get carried away over one good month. Hence why we always use a three-month period for the reviews. Let’s see if Northside Racing can turn things around in the next two months and get back to its previous level.

Summary at end of Month 2

There is little to dwell on at this stage, the results have been extremely poor and we need to see something quite unexpected now in Month 3 to turn it even vaguely around.

Summary at end of Month 3

Although the final month delivered a profit, it couldn’t paper over the fact that overall this was a poor three months for Northside Racing. Every tipster can endure period like this, but purely on the basis of our trial period we can only award a one-star rating to this service.
