The Master Plan from PuntHub

How Much Money Do I Need to Get Started?

A starting bank of 100-points is recommended for this service.

How Much Money Can I Make?

The PuntHub website shows 150.28 points total profit from launch in September 2018 to 8th May 2019. This equates to around 18-points per month profit on average. The ROI is shown to be 18.3% over that period.

How Much Time Will I Need to Make This Work?

With simple flat-stake win singles it is a matter of a few minutes each day to place the bets. The daily email states the bookmakers offering the advised odds.

Will I Need Any Equipment to Do This?

A laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone with internet connectivity and access to a range of bookmaker accounts is recommended.

Value for Money?

As always, I will wait for the end of the review period before offering a view on this. With a net return on investment (after taking into account the cost of the membership for three months) of just under 5% there is some value to be had in the service.

Quality of Customer Service?

PuntHub generally claim to respond to all e-mails within 12-hours, but this has not been tested. However, any communication I have had with Ben when setting up the reviews has been professional and timely.

The Master Plan from PuntHub is described on their website as “a consistent and profitable systematic approach to long term betting.” With selections coming from a computer-based system everything is based on data, facts and statistics.

Launched on PuntHub in September 2018, the service actually started back in January 2017, and should not be confused with the Betfan service of the same name.

Selections are sent the evening before racing by email and there can be anywhere from one to seven selections per day. The average is around three selections per day or 90 per month. The email generally arrives between 18:30 and 20:30 and on occasion there will be an update between 10:30 and midday on the day of racing, although this is by no means every day.

The vast majority of tips are to win, with just occasional each-way selections. Staking is a flat one-point per selection, so either one-point to win or half-a-point each-way. The advised odds of the selections can range from around 9/4 up to 33/1 and bigger.

Since launching on PuntHub, the website records 150.28 points profit at an average of around 18-points per month and an overall ROI (return on investment) of 18.3%.

Results – Month 1 (9th April to 8th May 2019)

We ended the first month with a tidy profit of 22.75 points, but it wasn’t all plain sailing. With a week of the first period remaining we were actually sitting on a loss of 7.75 points. In fact, we had started the review with not a single winner in the first 14 tips. But the final week produced some impressive returns with eight of the 13 tips winning to add over 30-points profit to the coffers.

The overall strike rate for the month was 20.27%, with the average advised odds of the winning selections being a shade under 11/2 (6.45).

The run of 14 losers to open the month wasn’t the worst run in the period, that was a sequence of 17 bets. On the plus side though, we enjoyed a run of four consecutive winning bets at odds of 5/1, 7/1, 4/1 and 5/2.

The ROI for the period was a very healthy 28.09% and both this and the monthly profit were in excess of the historic averages, albeit we are looking at one month in isolation. The net ROI, after deducting the monthly subscription fee, is 23.51% at £10 per point stakes or 27.14% at £50 per point.

Results – Month 2 (9th May to 8th June 2019)

The Master Plan failed to build on the profit generated in the first month, losing around half of last month’s gain. The loss this month of 11.46 points wasn’t helped by losing runs of 19, 14 and an unbroken string of seven to close out the period. However, after two months we are still in profit overall, now by 11.29 points.

There were a third more bets this month (99) compared to last and with the strike rate falling to just 12.12% the financial performance suffered. The fall in strike rate was compounded by an accompanying fall in the odds of the winning selections to 6.11 (just over 5/1). The winning tips ranged in price from 2/1 (3.0) to 8/1 (9.0).

The return on investment after two months now stands at 6.14%. Both this and the average monthly profit are now below the historic levels claimed for the service. If you take into account the monthly subscription cost then the net ROI at £10 per point stakes is 2.78% and at £50 per point is 5.45%.

Results – Month 3 (9th June to 8th July 2019)

There was a return to profitability this month, with the final haul of 13.62 points not only recovering all of the loss from last month but also adding slightly to the profit from Month 1. The final profit for the three-month review period was 24.91 points.

Although the average odds of the winning selections fell again this month, down to 5.96 (just under 5/1), this was offset by a return to the first month’s level in terms of strike rate. 22 winners from 115 runners gave us a win rate for the month of 19.13%. The range of winning prices was wider this month, ranging from 2.875 (15/8) to 15.0 (14/1).

There were losing sequences of 16 and 10 (twice) during the month, none of which were out of the ordinary given what had gone before in the previous two months.

The return on investment (ROI) this month was 10.64% and this left the ROI for the review as a whole at 7.98%. This figure nets down to 4.96% at £10 per point stakes or 7.36% at £50 per point, after deducting three months of subscription fees.

Summary at End of Month 1

An impressive start to the review, with the monthly performance ahead of the historic claims. We wait to see if this can be maintained over a longer period.

Summary at End of Month 2

Around 50% of the profit from last month was “given back” this time around. However, still in profit overall and well-placed for the third and final month of the review.

Summary at End of Month 3

A profitable three months during the review with an average monthly profit of over eight points and an ROI of 7.98%. Although both of these metrics are below the historic levels claimed for this service, we are only looking at a snapshot and there is sufficient evidence to suggest the historic benchmarks are achievable over a longer period.
