LMR Racing (Final Update)

| May 21, 2019 | Reply

** During May LMR Racing moved away from Tipster Street to its own dedicated website (www.lmrracingservice.com). At that time, Dave who runs the service, opted not to continue with the review and so I have been unable to complete the third month. The service remains live at its new home and you can visit their website if you want any further information on LMR Racing.

Quality of Customer Service?

Part of the Tipster Street stable of tipsters and benefits from the infrastructure that comes from that. My communication with the owner Neil has always been very professional and timely. When I have used the support link through the website – for other Tipster Street services not this one specifically – I have always received a prompt and helpful response.

LMR Racing has been running since January 2017. Initially on the BetInfo24 platform, it moved across to Tipster Street in January 2019.

This is a very simple, straightforward service. All selections are win singles and staked to one-point flat stakes. Selections are found by using the age-old formula of form, statistical analysis and information.

Selections tend to be in the range 2.25 to 7.5 (5/4 to 13/2), although there can be an odd one either side of that range.

Although the Tipster Street website suggests an average of around 50 tips per month, the reality in recent months is nearer to half that. There are not bets every day, and on days when bets are advised it can range from a solitary selection up to three or four picks.

Selections are sent by email each day between 09:00 and 11:00. The emails themselves are standard Tipster Street fare, with the race details, selection, advised odds and bookmakers offering those odds making up the content. There is no analysis or rationale provided for the selections, just a reminder that all selections are one-point to win.

Results – Month 1 (19th February to 18th March 2019)

The month started well with two winners from the first four runs. However, the next 17 selections threw up just a solitary 9/4 winner. The overall result for the month was a loss of 10-points.

The strike rate of 14.29% is significantly down on the average claimed for this service of 35%. With the average odds of the winning trio of selections being just 3.67 (c.5/2 – 11/4) the strike rate was well below that needed for a profit.

However, this is just the first month of our three-month review and we cannot draw any conclusions from such a small sample set. However, we will be looking for a significant upturn in the next two months to get somewhere close to the historic returns claimed for this service.

Results – Month 2 (19th March to 18th April 2019)

An even more selective month with just 15 selections and 20 “no bet” days. However, this approach paid handsome dividends with six winners, a strike rate of 40% compared to just 14.29% last month. Those winners generated a profit for the month of 13 points, which wiped out the loss from last month and left us with a cumulative profit of 3 points.

At £10 per point stakes this still equates to a tiny net loss, after the cost of the subscription, of £9.90. However, at £50 per point you would now be sitting on a net gain of just over £110. The breakeven stake per point at this stage is just over £13.

An 81.25% Return on Investment (ROI) this month now gives us an overall ROI of 7.69% to date. The Return on Capital (ROC)  for two months stands at 3%.

The winners this month had average advised odds of 4.83 (just over 7/2), more than a point higher than last month. The range was 3.5 (7/2) to 7.0 (6/1).

Summary at End of Month 1

Losing months are part and parcel of following a tipster and no real damage was done, with the bank drawdown just 10%. We look for an improvement next month.

Summary at End of Month 2

Still a way off the historic monthly average of 17.59 points after two months, but this month showed what the service is capable of.
