Jakblak Racing is one of the services presented on the Tipsters Empire platform. All selections are one-point win singles and the service is based on looking for value. As Jakblak tells us on the website, “the best bit of advice I have ever come across was ‘look for value, not winners’”.

The service is very selective with just one, or occasionally two, selections each day from all codes of British racing. Value can be found anywhere in the day’s betting, not just at big prices, and consequently the advised odds of the selections can range from 2/1 to 20/1 and bigger.

Jacblak claims that he “will show you that with a disciplined, methodical approach and the correct mental attitude your betting can go to the next level”.

The selections are sent the evening before racing via email and generally arrive between 21:00 and 22:30. However this can on occasion be earlier and sometimes early the following morning. The email contains a review of the previous day’s selection’s performance before giving the tips for the day. These are accompanied by a write-up on the thinking behind the selection(s) and the advised price and bookmakers offering those terms.

The Tipsters Empire website shows an average monthly profit for Jakblak Racing of 13.5 points, with a return on investment of 28.12% and a strike rate of 15.9%. We will see how the three-month review stands up against these benchmarks.

Results – Month 1 (22nd April to 21st May 2019)

The review period couldn’t really have started much better with two of the first four selections winning at 10/1! This was followed by the longest losing sequence of the month, nine selections, before four winners in the next six – including another 10/1 shot – saw us sitting on just shy of 30-points profit half-way through the period. Although another sequence of seven loses followed, there were a further five winners before the month ended. The final result was a profit of 35.5 points.

The strike rate in the month was 28.21% (11/39), this is significantly better than the historic average. The average odds of all selections was 7.26 (between 6/1 and 13/2), whilst the average odds of the winning selections were half-a-point lower at 6.77. The range of the winning selections was from 11/4 (twice) to 10/1 (three times).

The return on investment (ROI) in the period was a massive 91.03%, which as a one-off month does not provide fair comparison to the historic average of 28.12%. We will see where this figure stands at the end of three months.

Results – Month 2 (22nd May to 21st June 2019)

Although the month started with seven straight losses, which when added to the three losses that closed out last month gives us the longest losing sequence of the review so far, it was still ultimately another profitable month for Jakblak. After the slow start, a rare two bet day saw both selections win to push us back into profit. After a period of ups and downs, back-to-back winners on 13/14 June saw us move comfortably into profit. Although another losing sequence of seven followed, an 11/2 winner (R4 deduction to be deducted) from the penultimate tip of the month ensured the period ended with a profit of 5.33 points. Added to the profit from last month we now have a cumulative gain of 40.83 points.

Although the strike rate this month fell to 20%, this is still ahead of the historic average and leaves the overall rate at 24.32% after two months. This drop was compounded by a fall in the average odds of the winning selections to 5.11 (just over 4/1) compared to 6.77 last month. These two factors combined account for the drop in profit month-on-month.

The ROI was still 14.41% this month and after two months stands at a very healthy 53.72%, still well ahead of the historic average quoted. The net ROI (after deducting the cost of the two month’s membership) is now 40.76% at £10 per point stakes and 50.94% at £50 per point.

Results – Month 2 (22nd June to 21st July 2019)

It looked for a long while like the good work from the first two months was going to be undone as we saw just one winner in the first 27 bets. However, that run was broken by 16/1 winner Street Jester at Brighton and then the following day Ragstone View won at Newbury at 9/1, quickly turning our cumulative loss for the month into a profit. Two more winners before the end of the month, including Point Of Woods at 10/1, ensured we ended with a four-point profit. Added to the previous two months means we end the review with a very healthy 44.83 points of profit, well in line with the historic average monthly profit.

Although the strike rate fell to just 11.36% this month, the average winning odds of 9.6 (just under 9/1) ensured a small profit. Despite the drop this month, the overall strike rate during the review was over 20%, better than the historic benchmark by some 5%.

The return on investment (ROI) this month was down at 8.89%, and after the cost of the monthly membership was only just over breakeven at £10 per point stakes, although at £50 per point it was still at 7.22%. Over the course of the three-months the ROI has been 37.05%, another metric which has exceeded its historic level. After taking into account the membership costs for the period, the net ROI for the review period was 26.11% at £10 per point stakes and 34.71% at £50 per point stakes.

Summary at End of Month 1

An excellent first month for the review, the challenge now is to see how close he can get to repeating it in the next two months.

Summary at End of Month 2

A solid month to back up last month’s excellent performance. All of the cumulative metrics are running ahead of the levels quoted for the historic performance on the website.

Summary at End of Month 3

The three months of the review have delivered profit, ROI and strike rate ahead of the historic benchmarks. All-in-all this was an exceptionally good review and certainly makes Jakblak worthy of further consideration for your portfolio.
