Getting The Most From Tipstars (Part Three)

| September 2, 2019 | Reply

Tipstars, in partnership with The Betting Rant, is committed to becoming the leading provider of independent proofing and information for punters. With that comes a raft of data and information, and this series aims to help you identify the areas you can use to enhance your betting journey.

The first two parts looked at the individual tipster profiles and the versatile league tables and we will come back to those shortly. But first I just wanted to touch on a couple of the other pages on Tipstars…

Each month we run a featured tipster page where you can find additional information and usually a recorded interview with the tipster, giving you an insight into the person behind the service.

We also have our “Roll of Honour” page, where you can see at a glance those services that have been awarded gold, silver or bronze stars. There is also a link to the badge criteria page which explains how a service qualifies for one of our performance awards.

So bringing together all of the information available on Tipstars, how can you use that to enhance your own betting with a tipster?

Well, I believe there are two main ways in which Tipstars can be of benefit to punters…

The first is as a source of corroboration for information and results you may have seen or received from a service…

Whether you receive one of the many trumpet blowing marketing emails that appear each day or you have seen a tipster’s own website, you can use the search option on the Tipstars home page to pull up the profile and results data for that tipster to confirm the figures you have seen are a true reflection of performance.

Remember though that we don’t report any best odds guaranteed (BOG) enhancements to advised prices.

The second, and I believe most valuable, way you can use Tipstars is to source a new service. Be that your first dip into the tipster market or as an addition to your existing portfolio…

Using the league tables will allow you to identify the best performing tipsters by the metric and category that is of interest to you, or overall if you have no preference. Combining this information with the roll of honour will enable you to draw up a short list of potential services.

However, just because they are at the top of the league doesn’t automatically make them the best service for you to follow. Once you have your shortlist you need to look at the profile page for each tipster and assess their fit with your own lifestyle (timing of tips etc.) and your approach to risk (return on investment, strike rate etc.).

There is no one piece of information or data on Tipstars (or any other site come to that) that will give you the answer to the best tipster for you. But by utilising all of the information and data you should be able to make an informed decision on your next choice of service(s) to follow…

And of course you can guarantee that the next service(s) you do follow have an accurate and profitable track record!
