Bet On Carter To Bounce Back In Brazil

| September 14, 2011 | 2 Replies

Interesting fact for you…

‘Bouncebackability’ is officially recognised as a word in the Oxford English Dictionary…

And yet people complain about txt speak!

Well I for one am glad it’s a word and I’m hoping that Ali Carter is too, because he could do with bouncing back after snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Shanghai.

Carter was 4-3 up against first round opponent Mark King in their first to five match and had multiple opportunities to close it out…

Unfortunately, he failed to take any of them and allowed King to stroll through the easy half of the draw to the semi-finals, where he lost to eventual winner Mark Selby.

That ruined our bet in Shanghai but I believe that Carter can make immediate amends at the Brazil Masters which starts tomorrow.

Again he has a very easy draw and again he’s overpriced, this time at 8/1 with Stan James (7s elsewhere).

To get to the semis all he has to do is beat the hideously out of form Steve Davis, followed by the even more hideously out of form Stephen Hendry or a wild card.

Once he gets there he’ll…

A) Already be in a tradeable position and…

B) Will face number six in the world Shaun Murphy as a worst case scenario (Carter is ranked eighth)

Just a quick article today then because the value should be pretty obvious…

Get on Ali Carter to win the Brazil Masters at 8/1 with Stan James

    You and me both.

On the upside, good win for Leeds given the circumstances and with Wimbledon and a load of Moto Gp tips also winning it wasn’t a bad betting weekend all in all.
