Aspire Racing Scam: New Update

| July 24, 2017 | Reply

We’ve got an extra column from our Head Reviewer Peter Philipson this week, as he delves deeper into the Aspire Racing scam. If you’d like to get in touch with Peter you can leave a comment on the reviews section of the website or email.

An important Aspire Racing update

Thanks to those members who have responded to the report and email earlier this week.

It appears that things are even worse than we had envisaged, as the recent offer to join a new syndicate is in fact an attempt to recover losses made on the initial venture.

A copy of the latest invitation is shown below and we would draw your particular attention to paragraph three where it is stated that syndicate members’ investments have been “totally depleted” – that is, lost.

I am aware that at least one member is contemplating reporting this matter to Action Fraud and we will be updating both the Gambling Commission and FCA with this latest episode.

The only positive content of this seems to be the indication that no more subscribers are being taken on. If true then this is to be welcomed but this will do little to help the existing clients. The offer of matching new investment with a personal contribution from Hughes cannot be verified and as he refuses to reply to any emails/enquiries sent by his clients we would be very sceptical of such an offer.

A common theme from comments I have received is the level of incompetence achieved by Mr Hughes who appears to have over complicated the process…

He recently emailed to say selections were going to be advised the evening before racing but has now had to change this as one of the selectors is away on holiday!

So it seems that he is not making the selections himself which was not the initial impression given – it could explain why he is unable to provide results though as he struggles to put a few words together let alone maintain accurate records.

Members will be able to draw their own conclusions from the invitation but just in case you have any doubts – give it a miss!
