Brief Summary:

Trade The Spikes from Bill Barrett provides a set of emini trading strategies that they claim you can profit from. It states throughout the website that this is about the ‘Futures’ market.

What’s It All About?

To be honest the site is really annoying to me. It isn’t what’s there so much as what it lacks. It is disjointed and without a clear and logical path to follow. It feels, especially for ‘newbies’ I would imagine, that there is no  real ‘introduction’ and it lurches into various ‘chunks’ and if you start with certain of those ‘chunks’ then you would be rather confused as to the site’s whole ‘raison d’etra’.

It isn’t even clear whether the whole site is free or whether there’s a paid for service within its stable – although in the FAQ’s it responds to a question relating to how long it takes to learn this strategy by stating: 1 module a day, after 5 days you will have all the knowledge.

How Much Money Do I Need To Get Started?

As little as $500 is quoted.

How Much Money Can I Make?

Not stated.

How Much Time Will I Need To Make This Work?

Bear in mind the training time referred to above, and then in addition it states this is not a “sit at your computer all day” method, you will be told when and how, and that most trades take place in under 15 minutes.

Will I Need Any Equipment To Do This?

A pc, or a laptop, and an account with a trading platform.

Value For Money?

Free. Jury is still out on usefulness of it though.

Quality Of Customer Service?

I have sought some further clarification on a few points, but as yet I’ve had no response to the 4 emails I’ve sent– which I have sent via 2 different routes! So it doesn’t look very professional at all.

Review

The website comprises just 5 sections; Home, Newsletter, Webinar, Why Spikes, Live Trade and Contact. They do have a FAQ section with a fair number of examples displayed as well.

I signed up first for the newsletter and received one within hours. What surprised me was that it leapt straight into the contents without any kind of hello and welcome which I find both surprising and not a good way to take you into a position of confidence in them. It was a bit like receiving chapter 2 of a book but with no introduction or chapter 1. Bizarre!

The webinar shows a short video presentation with Bill apparently making $3100 in profits in just a few minutes on August 2011. It looks impressive, but there is no name attached to it, and with all due respect it could have been anybody’s account.

‘Why Spikes’ and ‘Live trade’ are videos explaining why this approach works well and broadly how it is successful.

In some respects this is one of the strangest trading sites I have ever experienced! I am still no wiser and I can just imagine the degree of confusion that will exist in virtually every customer’s mind, and for newbies I would imagine that it is an enormous turn-off.

If there is something to ‘buy’ then theirs is no blurb, no price and it seems no mechanism for doing so. Yes, the newsletters have started but they are, so far, just overviews of the marketplace which no depth to them.

One of the newsletters, which contains a download with a few ‘Spikes’ shown on charts and some financial figures gained, invites you to ‘leave a comment on the blog’. And yet as soon as you click it you get a ‘url not found’ result.

All very strange because on the face of it Bill, there on the video apparently shot in Hawaii, appears as a decent, pleasant, ordinary, and seemingly genuine kind of guy, but it just doesn’t all gel and come together. In many ways it’s the antithesis of all those typical ‘hypy sales pages’. So I really do want to believe you Bill, even though I’m not sure exactly what you have on offer here!

All I can do is update things if I receive email replies from Bill, or anything enlightening in the daily newsletters. It seems to be a big ‘if’ at present though.

Thanks for the input. I’ve been trying to find out more about this system for months. Your experience does not seem to be what is advertised. Cost cited is $1997 one time charge for the 5 day training. Led to believe all the rules would be spelled out and Bill will do the first spike with you. Your experience is not at all what is proported. Please find out more and report. I’ll be watching.
