Review

The anonymous author of this service is well known to Thorobred Racing and they apparently have convinced him to use his top industry contacts from stables and trainers to offer tips to us mere mortals. We are advised that he does not give many tips but they are incredibly profitable when he does.

The intention is that bets are placed immediately on receipt of emails which will vary in timing and could come close to racing in view of the sources involved. No specific staking advice was offered so we have assumed a 100 point bank with 1 point staking for wins and so 2 points outlay if an each way advice.

Before we look at the performance of the trial we have to consider the underlying claims – here someone who is supposed to be close to the live racing scene is offering tips on a highly selective basis. The reality is we are getting a tip or more daily and at a time that is clearly convenient to the sender rather than awaiting up to date information nearer the off. A brief comment about the performance is given with the next day’s selection but you might do better to read the race reports on the main racing websites.

A look at the current hosting website indicates a strong tendency to support services which appear to emanate from similar sources. You might wonder if the site is a means of publicising the services and this one was strongly recommended by Thorobred and Elite.

Performance has been quite good over all with 11 successful bets from 37 and an 8.6 point profit at an ROI of 17.3%. The analysis shows the each way bets have cost the bank dearly. Best priced winner came at 9/1 with odds ranging up to 16/1. Longest losing run was 12 selections – perhaps another clue to the true source of the selections.

At this point we do not know what – or even if – a fully blown service will emerge. A reasonable start here if you treat it as any other tipping line and do not expect a string of high priced winners.
