Review 22/03/2012

The author of this service is also concerned with the Dave Bicknell Golf Tips service and that has good and relatively long standing experience. The underlying theme is that by placing double chance bets (and so effectively eliminating the draw from the match) you can earn good returns by using multiple bets. In effect you are laying the other team but without the greater risk involved of doing this via Betfair.

This is a no frills service with the mails being received in good time to place the bets. Prices are advised and at the time of writing there are half a dozen online bookmakers offering this type of bet so using Oddschecker to maximise your return is probably sensible. As well as the doubles and trebles recommended it is suggested that a minimum stake be placed on an accumulator for all the games of the day just in case.

Based on previous experience of the publisher we have no reason to doubt the historic results shown which make for good reading and so it is rather disappointing to see the results that have been achieved in the trial period. There have been 47 doubles or trebles advised and just 16 of these have come in. Not a single one of the overall accumulators that are recommended has paid out although the potential is good should things start to come back together again (for example one would have paid out at odds of 32.0).

We have placed 1 point on each recommended bet with 0.25 of a point on the accumulators and the sum result (as displayed in the spreadsheet) is a loss of 13 points in the trial period. The results are perhaps a graphic demonstration of how fickle football can be as over 90% of the tips were backing the favourite and still we have this relatively poor result.

There should be potential for this service and we plan to keep monitoring for a further period and will update readers in the middle of April. For now we suggest a watching brief only.

Update 04/5/2012:

Disappointingly the results since the full review have not demonstrated any improvement and we are now showing a loss of 40 points on the bank. This is a graphic illustration of how difficult tipsters can find things because although the majority of the tips are for the favourite and therefore ought to be pretty strong on a double chance the multiples have just not worked as they appear to in the past.

Final Update 8/6/2012:

There has been a slight improvement during May with a 4.7 point profit seen in what has been a sparse month for tips. Still no big accumulators have come off and that is what the service is really looking for to make worthwhile returns.

I personally start to lose interest when International friendly matches are tipped and although the Euros may give some good opportunities I think that 3 months is sufficient to demonstrate a service’s potential and sadly this does not seem to fulfil the initial promise.

    @ tom42

Interesting listing Tom. I have just read though it and sent the vendor a genuine enquiry asking what staking per horse has been used to achieve the profit levels shown in the listing. Without that the numbers are rather meaningless!

I tried to look at the ‘actual’ feedbacks but there was a site problem.

Will update as and when i have more gen.on either.
