It’s Luke Towler time again and this week he has a 14/1 football bet alongside his usual egg shaped value.
Enjoy this week’s column and, as ever, if you have any comments for either myself or Luke you can reach us at email@example.com.

Not a bad set of results last week – England smashed the handicap, the points score was a dead duck and the first half points total would have flown in if it wasn’t for an injury time penalty kick.
NFL brought up 2/3 winners including a 23/10 Detroit Lions win – I had strong feelings for the Lions who many were laughing at but now following that victory every so called expert is picking Detroit to go on a strong play-off run.
Rugby goes into European mode this weekend and fortunately all teams return to full strength now that the autumn internationals are done with.
I have picked out three matches with odds I believe give the best value for us punters and these are:
LEINSTER TO BEAT NORTHAMPTON: 5/6 STAN JAMES, FRIDAY
SARACENS TO BEAT SALE WITH A -24 POINT HANDICAP: 9/10 GENERALLY, SATURDAY
EXETER TO BEAT BORDEAUX BEAGLES WITH A -9 HANDICAP: 9/10 GENERALLY, SUNDAY
Firstly, Northampton are a poor side and will be without George North following his concussion issues – Leinster should be more than capable of taking advantage.
Saracens welcome back their long list of international stars and Sale, well Sale do not have any international stars of note.
Saries’ play on a tight 4G pitch, which when they have all guns blazing pins their opponents deep in their own 22’ for the best part of 80 minutes… I expect home side dominance in this one.
What’s the one thing Exeter love to do?
Yes they leak a try or two but I do strongly fancy the southerners to bang in enough points to take them beyond the nine point handicap.
NFL has given some good wins of late and this week I have gone through the fixtures and selected two I feel offer the best chance for profits…
MIAMI DOLPHINS TO BEAT ARIZONA CARDINALS: 23/25 MARATHON
DETROIT LIONS TO BEAT CHICAGO BEARS WITH A -7.5 HANDICAP: 9/10 GENERALLY
One last punt I have is a long shot but when broken down I think the chances of success is much more likely than the 14/1 offered!
Walk with me on this one… Tottenham to beat Man Utd, Man City to beat Leicester and Everton to beat Watford.
Let’s start with the first game where Watford have been very shaky of late and Everton are due a decent win sooner or later.
Manchester City need to get back on the winning trail and Pep will surely expect this to happen against a very jaded Leicester team.
This brings us on to Manchester United – I know they may have been unlucky not to get three points from the long line of recent 1-1 results but they didn’t and more to the point they only managed one goal in each!
TOTTENHAM, MANCHESTER CITY & EVERTON ALL TO WIN TREBLE: 15.77 MARATHON
