What’s it all about?
“I’m 50 years old and have been a “House Husband” for the past 10 years and although I have been betting on the horses since I was a kid I only started to take it more seriously around eight years ago to supplement my wife’s income.
“The first few years were a bit hit and miss with me betting on virtually anything with more than one leg, I also joined tipster service after tipster service only to find they were as useless as I was.
So I decided that if this was going to work for me I would have to come up with my own selection process and after a few months of “paper trading” things started to improve and I started betting with real money and haven’t looked back since.
“I’m not going to reveal everything that I use in my selection process but the majority of the races are discounted for one reason or another and with what’s left I look at each race in turn to see how I could possibly make a profit from it, so race one maybe a win bet, race two a place bet, a win & place or a dutch bet.
“I never bet on favourites and never give selections with odds below 3/1 (unless they are backed below this after the selection process)
“You can be assured that I offer a genuine, sincere and more importantly profitable service and hopefully you will consider my service for your top ten.”

Helo Betfair
I have been following you with “real money”, why not. A good week although it ended up a washout, but that’s the Scot’s for you.
Look for ward to next week, and some more good fortune.
Don’t go back to work just yet!
RPSoroban
Hi rpsoroban,
Thanks for your message, I was beginning to wonder if anyone apart from myself was actually visiting this page.
Glad you’ve made a few quid from the selections this week and with 1 more day to go before the first week is over it will be a profitable one, win or lose today.
No worries on the going back to work score as this has been my full time job for the past few years, couple of hours in the morning making the selections, a bit of dusting and hoovering and the rest of the day is mine, can’t beat it.
Regards
Betfair Profits
Will put up the first week’s stats later on this evening after today’s results are in.
Just the 2 races for today and they are as follows.
2.00: Chester
No2: The Sixties £5 win @ 8.2
No5: Penny Garcia £5 win @ 5.9
2.20: Market Rasen
No8: Galley Slave £2 win @ 14′s & £8 place @ 4.3
All the above odds are still available at time of writing.
Betfair,
I have been keeping an eye on your service and so far I am really impressed. What sort of profit have you been making on a month to month basis?
BG
Hi bg1979,
I look to make at least a minimum of a 40 point profit per month, some months I have had over 100 points and others as low as 20 points. Depending on the size of people’s betting banks then this can add up to a sizable amount.
This week has been a bit hit and miss with there being 3 losing days but still come out with a nice £108 profit to a fiver on each selection.
Regards

Onward and upward betfair
Hi rpsoroban,
Hopefully we can get off to a good start for the week but it does look a bit competetive today. Carlisle was dismissed right away for obvious reasons (well they are obvious to me)
I quite like both the races @ Ripon and hopefully both of these can show us a decent profit.
Apologies in advance Betfair – have just read how well you are doing and have backed the selections from the Ripon 17:15 onwards – kiss of death no doubt!
Impressive results and hope it continues to go well
Dave
Hi stroller,
You’ve obviously had similar experiences to me in the past, everytime I joined what looked like a profitable service they lost me all my betting bank within days.
But hopefully everything will go ok for the next 3 races and show some sort of profit for us.
Hi,
I seem to have one more loser than you for last week.. I have 37 Bets, 17 Win and 20 Lose. Checked everything three times now and I damned if I can find the difference… oh well lol what’s one loser amongst fellow punters

Hi PaganPriest,
It’s nice to know that my bets are being so closely scrutinised, maths was never a strong subject for me but on this occasion I was spot on. I gave out a total of 38 bets in the first week, two of which were non runners and these were as follows:
2.25 Lingfield
No6: Raffinn (my very first bet on the first day)
8.45: Hamilton
No2: Daring Indian
No4: Party Line (meeting abandoned August 4th)
Although I didn’t make a mistake on this occasion doesn’t mean that I wont make a mistake in the future but if I do then you can rest assured that it would be a genuine mistake.

5.10: Wolves
No3: Bavarian Princess £10 win @ 5.1
5.55: Kempton
No11: Foot Tapper £3 win @ 5.3 & £7 place @ 2.12
Hi there… thanks for the response. I agree with the 38 Bets advised but there were 3 N/R:
2.25 Lingfield
No6: Raffinn
4.55 Yarmouth
No7: Marmalade Moon
These were on the first day 30/07/12
8.45: Hamilton
No2: Daring Indian
This one on 04/08/12
So that makes 35 and not 36 by my maths
Just to point out that this query is purely for my records and not to suggest that anything is amiss in any way whatsoever.
Hi again..
Just to add another:
5.10: Beverley
No8 Bavarian Nordic
This again on 31/07/12
So 38 advised bets with 4 N/R makes 34
Hi again PaganPriest,
Hope you didn’t think me rude but to be honest I can be a bit of a grumpy ole git at times. I will have to go be more thorough this week and check for non runners and not just the winners.
I will have to check last weeks and if you are right then it ups my roi a bit(was going to put one of those smiley face things here but dont know how to do it, so this will have to do
lol, just noticed that the yellow smiley face comes up when you tap the 2 dots & the bracket, thought that there was an “icon” section somewhere, bloody classic!
G’day betfairprofits,
things seem to be going swimmingly for you (unlike our Olympic swimmers — or unlike ALL of our Athletes come to think of it), and I hope that me adding my 2 bobs worth will not put the hex on you. Just to let you know that whatever you type on your keyboard is being read halfway around the world in the colony, down here in Australia. And followed with great interest too, I might add!!
Go for Gold!!
God knows our athletes aren’t!!
Regards,
Kris
Hello gygt (Kris),
Wow a follower from down under, I have a reletive living there a mrs pam jones do you know her?
Your message made me laugh because on page 8 of today’s Sun newspaper it has an image of NASA’s probe on Mars with a caption “Located Australian Gold Medal”, so a bit of a coincidence that you wrote the message today.
Hope I can carry on providing a profit every week and remember it’s not the taking part it’s the winning that counts (think I got that backwards)

2.30: Musselburgh
No10: Schmooze £7 PLACE @ 2.28 & £3 win @ 7′s
Was hoping that our only selection for yesterday would go onto win the race but a small profit for the place of between £5 & £6 is at least better than a loss for the day.

Hi Betfair,
Just a quick note to say I’ve been betting with minimum Betfair stakes of £2 a bet since last Tuesday [6 days, no bet Sunday] and before this evening’s bets I’m £45 to the good. Can’t ask for more considering the first 2 days were not so good and my stakes are small.
Nice simple system that seems to get results. KEEP IT UP…
Cheers,
Mark
Hi Markea,
Yea the first week went very well but had a few bad days second week but we dont need a high strike rate to see a decent profit. Hopefully we can get a few more nice priced winners in this week.
Messed up with “Love Island” in the 5.50 race, odds should have read 14.5 but the 1 didn’t show up, wonder if I will get penalised for that mistake?
Lols BP… least it won like it was supposed to be 4.5
No penalties in my book!
Keep making mistakes like that and I won’t be complaining… Nice end to the day and still 2 more races to come. Fingers XXX
Hi Betfair I am impressed by your stats my being fairly new to betting on the geegeez.
I intend to follow you to the end of the trial(bad days and good) and see where it goes, who knows I may be one of the first to be a fully paid up member of your service.
Good Luck
Regards
Woody
Thanks to everyone for the comments, nice to know that people are actually keeping an eye on my selections and more importantly making a few quid from them.
Bit disappointed with last nights selections with only 1 from 5, was really expecting at least 3 winners but a nice profit on the day all the same.
There are 9 selections for this afternoon but there wont be anything for this evening, lets hope it’s another good one.

Don’t usually put comments on these sites and only “play” at gambling but have to say – “WOW”!!!
I have tried many tipsters in the past and like a lot of others, have got my fingers well and truly burnt – and paid the price.
However, have followed you from the start and cannot believe your success rate.
Brilliant stuff and good luck for the future – you deserve it.
Best wishes,
Jamesgreen53.
Good morning Betfair
another day another dollar or more!! Going out to day so have charged laptop so I don’t miss your selections.
Look forward to more good things Betfair.
All the best
rpsoroban (aka Roger)
Hi jamesgreen53,
Thanks for your message of support,
I too have had my fingers burned by following tipsters and that’s the reason I went for it by myself. Obviously the winner of this competition will become a tipster themselves but they would be a tried and tested tipster, a full 5 months of proofing with nowhere to hide if things go wrong.
Dont let past failures stop you from making a decent profit in the future and if I could give any advice at all it would be to follow everyone on here for a month or two and pick say the top 3 performing tipsters and place the minimum £2 stakes on their selections and I’m sure you would come away with a tidy profit but be consistant and follow them thru the good and the bad times.

Hi rpsoroban,
Yeah seems to be going well at the moment, quite a good start to this week with around 12pts up so far and lets hope we can keep it going for the rest of the week.
Today’s selections should be posted at around 11-11.30
Regards
BetfairProfits
To me, today looks a lot more competetive than the last couple of days but with the odds that are on offer then just 2 wins should show us some sort of profit.
I have also posted a couple of races from Kempton for this evening, would like to wait until closer to the off but have to be elsewhere at around 4pm for the rest of this week, which is when I would normally select them.
There are 7 races for today in total.

Sorry about yesterday, only needed another winning bet and that would have seen us with a small profit but it wasn’t to be. Around £40 loss for the day, not a disaster but not good either.
Today looks a lot better and hopefully get those losses back and more. Selections will be posted today at around 11am
There are 8 races in total for today, 4 this afternoon and 4 in tonight’s meetings, hopefully a better day than yesterday.

Dont let comments re prices Betfair sp etc put you off you give your sel and the prices at the time you post where they end up is not anything to do with you, some will go out some come in.Ie wicked wilma you gave at 4.8 im only checking now its 6.4 the market does not go mad in my opinion till 15 mins before the off and from 10 mins before you see the proper movements ,plenty of horses can move massively in or out at times with remarks or comments so just do what you have done well up to now.If you have a bad day and yesterday was a winner away from profit so up and at em ,anyone who cant cope with a losing run or days even really should not be betting if it hurts,Never ever bet with what will hurt you to lose. Ive been there had the tshirt
I agree with whiskyd… in my opinion you are advising a BET not specifically a PRICE! But some people expect to be spoon fed and god forgive if they have to use their brain…. maybe you should just deposit winnings only into their bank accounts
and I bet some would still complain! Anybody, who follows anybody BLIND and is not prepared to use their own brain/judgement whether backing or laying should give up now. Keeping ahead in this game takes EFFORT and there are NO shortcuts… believe me I tried them all
backed Wilma and then laid her off laid Her again and managed to drive her out again so greened up for a small profit. When I say drove her out kept placing bets in the lay 4to 5 prices away seemed to do the trick whether im kidding myself i dont know but it works for me at times(well in my head anyway)
Old joke, union leader at a meeting tells the members long discussions with management we now only work once a week on a wednesday voice from the back What every bloody wednesday. You cant please everyone
don’t let it worry you when you give a selection on the win side you only have the liability of the stake, what profit you get can only improve your bank by the odds you get.Its a totally different kettle of fish when laying, even a few short losing runs at medium odds can seriously damage your bank. You can have a losing run of nineteen if your twentieth is at 25/1 you’re a winner try having that sort of run when laying does’nt bear thinking about.Keep sending your tips even Pricewises prices can’t always be got.
Betfair, to any of your would be detractor’s who love you when they are raking it in with your winning selections, and then see fit to have a petty dig when on a losing run I will quote this little statement that probably applies to them
“Ihave got my fingers well and truly burnt – and paid the price”
The last three words sum this all up.
1) You are not at this moment in time paying any sum for BETFAIRS SELECTIONS they are free
2) Nobody is twisting your arm to accept BETFAIRS SELECTIONS
3) It is purely your decision to accept/rebuff BETFAIRS SELECTIONS so give the guy a chance
I came into this with my eyes open and fully understand that not everyday is a winning one some are good some bad, If you expect to find a cash cow sadly in reality there is no such thing.
Remember this is betting/gambling and as such there are no guarantees on profit/loss.
Betfair keep up with the selections mate you’re doing ok in my book.
Cheers
woodyboy41 (AKA Joseph)
Thanks for the messages, wont answer them all individually as this would take a while but it started off with a comment made about not just mine but other people’s accounting skills.
I’m sure that all the other competitors like myself are honest and genuine and if we are out by a point or so then it’s purely unintentional and I certainly wouldn’t “cook the books” just for the sake of this competition.
As I stated previously come this Sunday I will be proofing 3 ways with the odds at time of writing, betfair starting prices and the industry sp, which will then obviously show the higher & lower end of any profit/loss.
This week hasn’t gone to plan so far with the last 2 days being losing ones but we are still showing a small profit and around +20pts since the start (dont quote me on this as it is a very quick guesstimation)so I’m not overly concerned at the moment.
Hopefully we can get back on track today.
Hang in their Betfair, don’t even consider a day job!
The power be with you
Rpsoroban
Have come up with 8 races for this afternoon and will also be supplying a few in the evening meetings and these will be posted at around 5pm. Today’s the day that we have to show a profit or face a potential loss for the week.

Hope the comments from Woodyboy41 were not aimed at me.
I was and remain fully supportive of Betfair and his results.
Still in profit even allowing for a couple of off days.
I was referring to paid tipsters who immediately hit a permanent losing run when you join them – and I’m sure a lot of us have been there including Betfair as he has said.
Anyway, to the detractors -don’t follow him and then moan, just keep your money in your pockets.
I have and will continue to follow the selections during this competition and feel confident that we will come out positively – keep at it Betfair!!
CHeers,
Jamesgreen53.
Hi James, in answer to your post.
No my friend my comments were not aimed at you, far from it. I was just making a few general pointers to peeps who have been following BETFAIR in order to put over the point that betting/gambling have no guarantees on profit/loss, and they may be feeling hard done by.
I think your last paragraph basically concurs with all I stated mate and glad to see you’re going to stick with BETFAIR as I myself am.
GOOD LUCK BETFAIR & KEEP THE SELECTIONS COMING
Cheers
woodyboy41 (AKA Joseph)
Thanks for clearing that up Woodyboy14, appreciate the comments.
Let’s keep the support for these people who are prepared to stick their necks out with the selections and give them all the backing they deserve.
Jamesgreen53.
Not looking too good again so far, cant remember every having such a long losing run but with 3 races left to go this afternoon there’s still a chance of a change of luck.
There’s just the 2 races for tonight and on any other occasion I would stick my neck out and say that they would both win, decent odds so hopefully they will oblige.
7.45: Catterick
No6: Ballarina £5 win @ 9.6
No9: Spirit Of Coniston £5 win @ 7′s
8.15: Catterick
No6: No Quarter £10 win @ 7′s
Sorry guys I messed up, if you look at this afternoon’s selections you will see that I had 8 races but I missed one off…in the 5.15 race @ newcastle I should have placed “Bartley” at a £10 place @ 3.55, I thought great at least everyone has got back nearly half their stakes for today with 1 race left to run.
I then came over onto the site and noticed it was missing from the list, typical!
Not to worry mate… everything works out in the end
Was up before the sparrows this morning to get an extra hour in and I have come up with 7 races for today, nothing for this evening, fingers crossed and hopefully today’s the day.

Hi, Just a word of encouragement. Please don’t stress… you are having a little bad run at the moment but bad runs end and good runs follow
Your strategy is obviously sound so stick with it
No need for a nervous break down just yet lol
Right side of the cash today, better than a smack in the face with a wet fish! Keep on going and don’t despair
As rpsoroban pointed out, yesterday was “Better than a smack in the face with a wet fish” but only just with us gaining a small profit, which was probably thanks to a non runner that saved us a tenner.
Just the 3 for this afternoon and good luck with these.

A good day to suggested stakes, Betfair. – Up 20 quid at sp price! Wouldn’t that be nice every day? Well done mate.
Hi Matt,
This week’s totals are below and starting from this week I have done them with both the odds that I state when making the selections and the actual Betfair starting prices, which shows both the highs and the lows.
Week 3 totals:
(To odds at time of writing)
Total staked = £465
Total return = £425.76
Profit/Loss = – £39.24
ROI = – 8.43%
(To BSP)
Total staked = £465
Total return = £374.15
Profit/Loss = – £90.85
ROI = – 19.53%
Running 3 week totals:
Stakes = £1203
Return = £1394.99 (to odds) & £1343.38 (To BSP)
Profit/Loss = £191.99 (to odds) & £140.38 (To BSP)
ROI = + 15.95% (To odds) & 11.66% (To BSP)
Hi Gray,
Been a very frustrating week and glad it’s over. There were 2 days where there was no return at all, which is very unusual with the type of bets I place.
Just the 1 winning races from either of those days would have been enough to turn a losing week into a small profit. Hopefully it will go much better for week 4.
There are 6 races for this afternoon and there will not be any selections for this evening.
2.30: Thirsk
No6: Autumn Shadow £5 win @ 7.4 & £5 place @ 2.5

No5: July Days £5 win @ 18′s
Stakes required for today are £65
Super end to the day,Betfair. Only just missed out on an 11-1 as well(neck).
Seriously well done, Betfair.
Hi Gray,
Thanks for the comments, ended up a good day and yeah very unlucky with “Muhandis”, if staying on a straight course would have won the race and doubled our profits for the day.
Got myself into a bit of a mess yesterday when doing the totals, spent 4 hours on Betfair going back thru 3 weeks worth of results to get all the betfair starting prices.
So I have decided to get my act together and provide daily stats so that I can have my lazy Sunday’s back.
Results for Monday 20th August.
Total Stake = £60 (1 non runner)
Total Return To Odds At Time Of Writing = + £140
Total Return To BSP = + £125.25
Profit/Loss To Odds = + £80
Profit/Loss Top BSP = + £65.25
Wet fisg disappeared ! you got your Mojo back!
Fish that was! LOL

Normal service is resumed.
Happy Tuesday tomorrow.
James.

Just noticed that Inffraaj in the 4.35 @ yarmouth is a non runner so I’m playing my first reserve instead and that is:
No9: Desert Red £5 win @ 13′s
Just the 2 for this evening and they are as follows
5.50: Worcester
No3: Midnight Gold £10 PLACE @ 2.56
7.00: Warwick

The day started off well but dropped off after that but still a small profit on the day.
Results for Tuesday 21st August.
Total Stake = £90 (1 non runner)
Total Return To Odds At Time Of Writing = + £102.50
Total Return To BSP = + £121
Profit/Loss To Odds = + £12.50
Profit/Loss Top BSP = + £31
Betfair; Check your figures again,my friend. I may be wrong, but I’ve got you showing a loss. I think you’ve missed three losing bets totalling £20, in races where you’ve had winners. I Apologise if I’m wrong, mate – but at least it proves that people are taking an interest.
Hi Gray,
I have had 3 winning races for today and 4 winning bets in total, 2 of which were in the same race, please see results below.
2.35 Yarmouth “Ambitious Boy” came first @ 10/1 but place was advised @ 3.3 = +£16.50 Return.
2.35 Yarmouth “Miakora” came 2nd @ 16/1 but place was advised @ 4.2 = +£21 return
2.45 Brighton “Eager To Bow” £5 win advised @ 9.2 = +£46 return
4.15: Brighton “Whinging Willie” £5 place advised @ 3.8 = +£19 returned
Total return = +£102.50 – £90 stake = +£12.50
My apologies Betfair – you are entirely right. I was wrong once before, I think it was March 3rd 1982!
The mistake that I made was missing out your second bet in the 2.35 at Yarmouth.
So keep up the good work and if you receive any further foolish questions from me, just ignore ‘em!
Hi Gray,
Don’t worry about it and it definately wasn’t a “foolish question” (because you didn’t ask me anything), so we’ll put it down to a foolish statement instead.
But seriously I’m glad that people like yourself are keeping an eye on my selections and pulling me up if I have made a mistake like I did in the first week with not noticing that I had missed a few non runners.
The selections for today should be posted at around 11am
Not a lot going for us for today, just the 1 race for this afternoon but there are a few races that are of interest for tonight, will look at those more closely later on today and post any selections at around 5pm.
2.15: Lingfield
No4: Lisselan Pleasure £5 win @ 5.1
No5: Mayan Flight £5 win @ 6.4
2 races for tonight, both at Kempton.
5.50:
No2: Kathleen Frances £5 place @ 4.6
No7: Bedazzled £5 win @ 6′s
8.20:
No8: Choice Pearl £5 place @ 3.9
No13: Refreshestheparts £5 place @ 4.9
A bit gutted that I advised “Refreshtheparts” as a place only, just knew it would run a good race but in all honesty didn’t really think it would win, so a small loss for today unless you took the BSP of 7.29 (which I didn’t)
Results for Wednesday 22nd August.
Total Stake = £30
Total Return To Odds At Time Of Writing = + £24.50
Total Return To BSP = + £36.45
Profit/Loss To Odds = – £5.50
Profit/Loss Top BSP = + £6.45
Betfair; I can understand you being a bit fed up with not advising your 20-1 as a win bet, but it still says an awful lot for your prowess on selecting it at all in the first place. And it wouldn’t do your mood much good to see your win bet go under by only half a length at 6s. Bad luck mate, but it must be obvious to all on here that you’re very close to turning this into an even more successful trial.
Better luck tomorrow!
Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go for it again! You are “refreshing the parts etc”.
You are a small step away from being v.v.good.
Keep it up “as the Art Misteress said to the Bishop”!
Roger
Maybe not quite v.v.good yet
Quite an early start for me today, dont normally make my selections this early but have a busy day, shouldn’t think that it will make a great deal of difference to the odds.
There are 7 races in total for this afternoon, 6 of these are at Bath and 1 at York. The 2 meetings for this evening are no good for me so there will be no bets given out for tonight.
1.50: Bath
No7: Siouxperhero £2 win @ 8.4 & £8 place @ 2.76
2.20: Bath
No3: Emiratesdotcom £2 win @ 20′s & £8 place @ 4.3

No2: Arch Walker £5 win @ 5.2

No8: Iguacu £4 win @ 7.4 & £6 place @ 2.54

No2: Instance £5 win @ 7.8
No13: Riot Of Colour £5 win @ 8′s
5.05: Bath
No5: Peachez £5 win @ 5.7
No10: Transfer £5 win @ 7′s
5.35: Bath
No9: Imperial Ruby £3 win @ 13′s & £7 place @ 3.65
Totals for today are as follows.
Stake £70
Return to odds £37.32
Return to BSP £37.22
Profit/loss to odds – £32.68
Profit/Loss to BSP – £32.78
Drawn a blank today which means a good day coming up to even things out. Keep the faith !
Bad luck Betfair a blank today, no doubt it’s been a very frustrating time for you. I am certain you will turn the corner in the next day or two and it will get much better than your previous form thus far.
That’s not a derogatory comment, MERELY AN OBSERVATION. Your tipping has been very good but I am certain on your form the best is still yet to come, and it will.
Remember keep a glint in your eye, a smile on your face and your chin held high, your doing just great.
Regards
woodyboy41 (AKA Joseph)

Massive difference in returns today between the odds & BSP and things panned out as follows:
Stake £95
Return to odds £42.98
Return to BSP £159.45
Profit/loss to odds – £52.02
Profit/Loss to BSP + £64.45
This was obviously due to “Piscean” drifting from an early morning price of 8.8 to a BSP of 28.48, hope people were on at that price and not the silly odds of 8.8 like me. And to rub salt in the wounds for the competition its the odds at time of writing that counts and another loss for the day. Only 2 days left now to get some profit in for the week.
There are 8 races for today but nothing for tonight.

Very bad jockeyship on A Boy Named Suzi – should have won the 2.50!!
Hi ceedee72,
Didn’t watch the race myself, so I take it the jockey got himself boxed in or something like that.

Hello, I have been following your posts for the last couple of weeks and am very impressed.
I was wondering if you would reccommend following your selections on the weekends? Are they profitable on these stand alone days? The reason being is i have to go back to work after annual leave and would find it hard to place all the bets on weekdays.
Many thanks and keep up the good work.
Hi Systematic12,
Thanks for your message.
Saturday’s & Sunday’s to me are just like any other day of the week and results will vary.
If I were to just selection 1 horse to win in my races then I would probably lose overall but with dutching, win & place etc you stand much more of a chance of winning.
I have only been keeping records of my bets since the competition started, so I can’t give you any past weekend stats. I will go through the past 4 weekends for you and get the totals and will post them later on this afternoon.
Weekend stats are as follows (No bets on Sunday 12th aug and not including today)
Total staked = 34.5 points
Total return = 42.35 points
Total Profit/Loss = + 7.86 points
ROI = + 22.78
Obviously times the points by whatever your usual stake is, so £10 a point = £78.60, £50 a point = £393 etc
Thanks Betfair for your reply. Looks promising in terms of weekends only for me.
Good luck today.

Were you on at those odds?
Hi there… was on at advised odds and played again in running where I thought it looked comfortable and with winning this race last year would obviously stay… so yes I double dipped

Hi
I have been following your selections with great interest.
Congratulations on your performance so far.
Would it be possible for you to identify one selection from your ratings that could be your nap of the day?!!!
Regards and keep up the good work
Peter
Hi Peter,
When you say “one selection” do you mean 1 horse or 1 race? because when I select 2 horses (or more) in the same race then I can’t really split them as I consider both to have an equal chance of winning.
If you meant 1 race then yes I can do that as some races stand out from others as having more of a chance.
OK
If you could do that it would appriciated.
A bit of a frustrating day yesterday with just the 1 winner and the majority of the rest either coming 2nd or 3rd.

Hi there… just wanted to say something as I haven’t for a while and that’s not like me lol Keep up the good work… never plain sailing at this time of the year but as always your selections are pretty consistent
and more importantly, profitable in the long run!
Hi PaganPriest,
Nice to hear from you again and yeah coming towards the end of one season and going into the next one does effect the results a bit.
Cant complain though with 26.6 points to the good over the past 6 weeks, but even this is down quite a way to what I normally achieve for myself and I’m putting it down to “competition nerves”, it’s a bit more stressful than I thought it would be.
Results for Monday 10th September.
Stake = £60

Hi betfair
Fantastic results on the naps thanks for highlighting,i am following them! Keep up the good work..
Peter.
Hi
I think you may be doing yourself an injustice on your figures for your nap results. I make it Staked – £100. Returned – £179!!
Hi Peter (Basil)
Glad the nap’s are going well for you and hopefully I can keep the strike rate up.
Been through the results and I keep coming up with £149 return, unless I’ve missed something.
6th Sept = lost
7th sept £34 return
8th sept £58 return
9th sept = lost
10 sept £57 return
I’m going on the odds at time of writing but perhaps the BSP was a bit bigger and that’s where the extra £30 is coming from?
Let me know what you come up with.

Hi
I look at it in a different way to you i think.
Over the last 5 days there has been 7 loosing bets -£70
Over the last 5 days there has been 3 winning bets of which your stake was returned,no loses.
Return on the winning bets = £149 – loosing bets £70 = +£79
Your figures show you loosing your stake money?
Any-way keep up the good work good luck today
Peter.
Hi Peter,
The £149 returns are calculated with stake money back as well, so total staked was £100 and the total returned including stake money was £149 for a £49 profit. If you add the £30 stake returned as well then it’s £79 but it has already been added to the total return.
Take yesterday’s winner £10 win @ 5.7, you get back £47 in winnings and £10 stake back for a total return of £57, its not £57 in winnings and the £10 stake.
Results for Tuesday 11 sept.
Stake = £110

Progress of the “nap” bets so far.

Hi,
Results for Tuesday 11 sept.
Stake = £110
Return = £130.90
Profit/Loss = + £20.90
I’m confused – yesterday’s bets only returned one place which resulted in an overall loss for me. How did you return a profit of £20.90 + you say stake = £110 but I only made it to be £60. Were there some selections that didn’t get posted??
Am I being thick or am I missing something??
Not complaining – I’m still very satisfied with the overall results you’re achieving, I just can’t understand your returns from yesterday…
Cheers,
Mark
Hi Markea,
It was an error on my part, forgot to type out Tuesday’s results and just placed the running total for both Monday & Tuesday. Noticed it straight after I clicked on the submit button and was going to rectify it after I done today’s selections, below is what I should have put first and then the running totals.
Staked £50 (1 non runner)
Return £12.90 (1 placed selection)
Profit/Loss = – £37.10
Thanks for confirming that. I’m just glad there weren’t some winning selections I missed!!
Hopefully back to winning ways today…

Well impressed with the read-up and past comments. Will start following your advices today and hope to join an eager band of followers. Hope its not short-lived, as I’ve been looking for a good, reliable tipster service for what seems like an age. Whether free or paid for service I done mind, long as it has some returns, and puts a bit of fun back into the whole thing.
Regards and good luck. NW
Hi basil,
A good result for followers of the naps, the rest of us have sweaty palms awaiting the rest of the races but even if the worst were to happen then it will still be a small profit on the afternoon.
Hi NW,
Glad to have you onboard and I will try my best to make sure that it’s not “short lived” and that you make a few quid. Whether or not I start a full time service remains to be seen, if Matt & Agora take me on then fine but it’s not something that I think I would take on by myself for numerous reasons.
Still 3 races left to go for this afternoon so hopefully they will go as well as our first race did and here are 3 more for Kempton this evening.

Hi Betfairprofits, I’m new to horse race betting and have been following your tips for the past week and half. I have been very impressed with your results and i’m taking the plunge today.
The only problem is i’m trying to put a bet on with Betfair using your tips but i cant find the option on Betfair for the 3.40: Epsom No10 Shesha Bear PLACE option.
There’s the Back and Lay options but not the option to PLACE!
Can you or anybody else point me in the right direction how to place this bet.
Cheers, and keep up the good work.
Skylablu.
Hi Skylablu,
In the left hand menu the place market can always be found just beneath the normal market for each race. Here’s a direct link…

Thanks Matt, that’s very quick and helpful.

Yesterday afternoon didn’t go too badly in the end with a very small loss to advertised odds. But you may well have come out with a decent profit as one of our selections (Royal Box) started to drift soon after I posted the selections.
At one point the selection was 17′s, which is when I decided to stick an extra fiver on, so I hope you got a better price than the 8.2.
Last night however was a total disaster with all the 4 races losing. Kempton aside I normally do quite well at the all weather meetings, so last night was a bit of a shock.

A bit unlucky today with us getting beaten into second place in both our races. Would have turned a small weekly loss into a decent profit but that’s the way it goes sometimes band hopefully can do a lot better next week.
Hi vicplum,
Thanks for your support, been a bit hit & miss the past few weeks with either a small profit or small loss but hopefully things will improve for this week.

Hi Betfair,
Still with you and still happy.
My vote went in for you this morning.
Looking forward to some nice winners this weekend.
Cheers,
James.
Running a bit late today, router decided to pack in early this morning. Been to Argos and got another one so up and running again now.
The selections will be posted around 1pm.
I would also like to say a big thanks to jamesgreen53 and the other 6 people that have voted for me so far, it means a lot and hopefully I can stay another week or two and build on the profits that we have so far.
You got my vote. I like the fact that its an easy to follow system that can be done in minutes.
Looking forward to further profits from you – a bit more luck and I’m sure the consistency will come…
Cheers,
Mark
Hey there… you got my vote as well… I have analysed the hell out of all the contestants from a “USER” prospective like I have done with any potential additional prospect to add to my portfolio… I have to say that you are the most likely to produce profits consistently over the longer time period and not just a competition. I would be happy to add you
Keep plugging on and be lucky
Regards
Derek

Hi Betfair,
Just checked today’s results. Sensational. I’m one of those who’d voted for you and I really hope you stay in. You should certainly consider a service even if you are not offered one by Matt because I think you are the easiest service to use and your system has so much potential. With the season obviously starting to settle down now I think those of us lucky enough to follow your tips have some big days to come over the next few months. Take care. Colin
Hi Betfair
Hadn’t been following you till today just thought I’d say congratulations on some outstanding results I had been following another member of the T factor competition until today! Keep up the good work if results continue to be this good your sure will get my vote.

Hi Betfair
Fantastic result last week and great results with the NAPs. Looks like a good responce from the horse racing fans in the competition as well.
Request!!! any chance that you could post your selections a bit earlier, I note you update the days before around 8am. It would be much appriciated, work commitments ext.
Regards
Peter.
Hi Basil,
Thanks for the comments, I normally do the day’s updates either on the same evening or failing that first thing in the morning.
I leave making the selections a bit later to account for non runners and for the odds to settle down a bit first. Take today for example 21 have been declared non runners at Leicester and some of these would have been in our bets if posting them at 7 or 8 o’clock.
I could try posting them at around 9am and if needed do an update at around 11am if that’s any good.
Looking for a good start to the week today but may be tough with the ground at Leicester probably changing to heavy during the day & Kempton not being too kind to me with the last few visits there but that will hopefully change with the following 4 races.

Hi paul160863,
It’s swings & roundabouts really, there’s no sure way of knowing how the markets are going to react. I always place my own bets with the advertised odds that I place on here but on the rare occasion that I am on betfair at the time of the race then I stick an extra few quid on the bigger odds.
Ok thanks betfairprofits.

Hi Betfair
Better Day!! FANTASTIC DAY!!!
All we need now is a nice priced NAP. Well done and thanks.
A bit of profit from this afternoon’s races and hopefully we can add a bit more with the following 3 races.

I’ve got to say i’m a little surprised by the lack of comments here, especially after the last couple of days.
As Basil above says, thank you so much, top tips and keep up this great run.
Very well done with Outlaw Torn W 11/1 in the last at Wolves.
Your naps are really outstanding.
truly remarkable 4 winners in one week that drifted considerably in price perhaps you should split your stakes between current price and betfair sp at the off .well done im impressed and richer.level stake profit is always right, retrieve staking will only leave you in the poor house.
Re dirkstickler about lack of comments.
Just too busy counting the winnings so not much time to write!!!
Posted several positive comments about Betfair and still following him all the way.
Absolutely brilliant service and must be in contention for the top prize here.
Keep em coming Betfair – please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers,
James.
Thanks for the comments guys, will answer them all in the same message to save a bit of time.
basil, yes it was a “Fantastic Day” but I thought writing “Better Day” made me sound less cocky. Took your comment on board and supplied a 7.8 winning nap, although the bsp was double that.
dirkstickler, personally I think that there are a lot more football fans on here than racing fans, hence a smaller following not just for myself but for the other “horsey” guys as well.
Skint45, yeah the odds on that one were pretty good and the odds for “Uncle Dermot” the other day went out to 30′s on betfair, which was very surprising for a horse that has been showing plenty of good form all season. The naps are doing well, perhaps I should have entered the competition with a “Nap’s” service instead.
68zdf147, It would have been a lot better if I started the competition using bsp as it is showing a few hundred pounds more profit than the morning odds. I wouldn’t advise people against splitting their stakes as it would have been paying off over the past few weeks. I place my own bets just after posting the selections and take whats on offer at the time and if I’m at the computer at the time of one of our races then I’ll normally stick a few extra quid on the bigger odds.
jamesgreen53, Glad you making a few quid and thanks for your support over the weeks, as for winning the comp then of course I’d love to win it but I’d have to up my game a bit more and try to convert some of the footie fans over to the gee gees.

All I can say is that it’s much fun shouting home Outlaw Torn at 11/1 in a tight finish than waiting for the footy results to come through.
Sure your support will grow when people see the results over the full period.
Keep up the good work and some more nice winners this weekend.
Cheers,
James.
Whilst the idea of the competition is great, having footie tipsters up against racing tipsters is flawed for all sorts of reasons. I hope Matt will consider having a winner of both types of tipping. In 10 years I have only followed one tipster who I will not name as that would not be appropriate here and he has produced a profit every year. This ratings system is the only thing I have seen since which starts to look as if it would interest me long term. Keep up the good work.
Totaly agree with you tigeryork, I for one can not see the coralation between Horse Racing and Football!!!
tigeryork,
I take the point and this is the first year I’ve done this, so it’s more about finding out what does and doesn’t work than anything else (and finding some great tipsters of course!)
This year there will only be one winner but it’s important to note that depending on results there may well be more than one service taken on. If there are three great services which people are following then it’d be foolish to just go with the winner, so there’s definitely more than one opportunity here.
It’s not about correlation Basil. For me this competition was about giving all types of sports betting tipsters/system makers the chance to prove themselves and then finding out what Betting Rant readers wanted. At the end of the day its all betting regardless of whether your backing horses or football teams.
Although there are 4 meetings for this afternoon there are only 2 races that are of any interest but at first glance Wolves is looking ok and I will go over that meeting in more detail later on and post any selections at around 4pm.

I might be totally wrong but I have a feeling that the odds on both races will tighten throughout the day rather than drift out a few points.
Except one is inteligent and magestic and the other one …… well.
Now now, that’s just sporting snobbery
Betfairprofits: Yes, you would have been much better off leaving the prices to Betfair SP, compared to taking early Betfair odds. I can’t see any point in continuing to do the latter.
Early BOG prices mostly compare favourably even with Betfair SP, but realistically you’d soon have your bookie accounts closed if you were betting even in the amounts you use in the trial and showing these kinds of consistent and mounting profits, so Betfair SP is the only way to go.
Congrats again on the marvellous Naps.
2 out of 2 this afternoon, 1 non runner so a return of £59 to £15 staked. Tonight looks a bit tougher but even if the worse were to happen we would still finish the day with a small profit.

Voted for you again…
Been out all day, just got back to check results and noticed that the field had been reduced to just 4 runners in our 2.30 nap bet. Obviously I normally wouldn’t entertain such a race but the odds wern’t too bad considering.
I think it’s fair that when I do the results in the morning that I use the betfair starting price of 3.52 and not the advertised moring odds.
And a big thankyou to everyone who have “kept the faith” and placed their vote, it’s going to be a stressful few days!
Hi Betfair,
Got my vote again and good to see you top of the polls so far – fully deserved.
Nice nap again – faith never lapsed.

lols… when I checked the voting and saw a competitor who has lost a near 70pts in a couple of weeks getting 7 votes… I can understand why you might be stressed. Otherwise you have way outperformed everyone else in regards to LS, consistency, profitability etc… these being the key factors of any possible service I might add to my portfolio. Keep going, your doing tremendously well
You got my vote to, not the best time of year to gamble on horses so I think you are doing amazingly well, thank you.
Just got back after a couple of weeks away and see I’ve missed some cracking days – oh well that’s the luck of the draw, hopefully you’ll carry on with your success rate….anyway you got my vote.
Just a quick question – are you still going with the early odds or taking the BSP?? I haven’t trawled through the last 2 weeks comments.
Cheers,
Mark
As the X Factor voting shows (presuming you believe it is given out correctly anyway), nothing is certain, but what is certain is that you should be leading this competition and you have my vote.
This is the best i have come across so far, you deserve to be on top and
thank you for all those winners.
Cheers
Rich
Hi Betfair my apologies for not posting for a while as still recovering from the major surgery, but I have been a dedicated follower as promised.
You have ups and downs only to be expected as winning is no certainty (as we’re all too aware).
You’ve kept a positive attitude even when on a losing run, persevering steadfastly when others have given up (no critisism of other competitors it’s bloody hard and hats off to all of them).
Your name goes before you and you should be proud Betfair.
You have my overwhelming vote in this competition.
Keep it up and hold your head high mate, you do deliver, and I look forward to subscribing to any future service you may offer.
Best Wishes

Hello Betfair, doing your naps and very happy with the performance. You and Mousecliff are doing very well, shame I could only vote for one and went with Mousecliff this time. No reflection on your performance, keep up the great work.
I think you have become so consistent, that you should be at the top right now, however i have voted for Dean to help keep him in the competition.

Well done, You deserve to be leading the voting at the top of the table!
Keep up the good work

Well done again B F Prof. (I use that for you in my notes, I think it is appropriate and classy)
Sadly I lost most of yesterdays profits on the Wolv. races last night. Have you looked at your All Weather record over a long period? is it worthwhile or does it reduce your profitability?
I didn’t fancy Summer Dream, so skipped it and don’t bet in apprentice/amateur/conditionals races. Today you confounded me with a winning forecast!
Daneking placed 3rd; have you looked at how often you get a 1,2 from 2 selections? Is the forecast worthwhile?
Best regards
M.

Also been with Betfair from the start and good to see he’s now getting the following he deserves.
As far as repeating goes, goes, goes.goes – oops showing my age too!!!!!
Another great day Betfair – keep em coming please!!
Cheers,
James.
I’m a bit unsure about PaganPriest’s comment – exactly how many heads has Betfair got!?
Well done Betfair, a great day, especially getting the excellent BOG boost on Phoenix Clubs. Not only a good call by you, but also by your rival Mousecliff in 2nd place.
Keep up the good work!
Great day again you deserve to be in top spot and looking forward to
tomorrow.
cheers

Can we get on a few more of Richard Hughes`s rides at Windsor. Flippin eck a 7 timer @ 10,168-1. Been following you since the start. Very consistent. Keep it up mate. Just get on the champ jockey for goodness sake.
Best regards, Steve.
Results for Monday 15th October.
Quite a good day yesterday with us doubling our money, could have been a lot more if not getting beaten a head by a 40/1 rank outsider in our 3.45 race and unfortunately only a 3rd in our nap bet.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their comments over the past week or so and for their continued support in the competition and helping me to get to the “top spot” and hopefully I can continue to supply you all with a few more winning bets over the coming weeks.
There’s still a long way to go and no doubt the leader board will change again over the weeks ahead, so good luck to my 3 competitors and hopefully we’ll all show a good profit and make it an exciting finish.

Hi Betfair profit, only just found this thread and having read top to bottom I feel quite confident to tag along, as I’m new do I just keep refreshing this page to find forays selections
Cheers ham1980
Just the 2 races for this afternoon both coming from Leicester, have my eye on a few races at wolves tonight one of which will be a nap bet, so call back at around 2pm for those.
2.40:
No5: Barista £3 win @ 9.8 & £7 place @ 2.64
5.40:
No9: Skyfire £3 win @ 8.6 & £7 place @ 2.76
Hi ham1980,
Welcome aboard, selections are normally posted before 10am. This afternoon isn’t great with just the 2 selections but there will hopefully be a few bets at Wolverhampton tonight.
Just remember I have losing days, so keep to minimum stakes for a while until you get used to it and never stake more than 5% of your betting bank and you should be ok.
Hello Betfair
I have not been intouch for some time but things seem to be going well! I have put the wet fish back in the river as he seems to have doe his job:)
Have you ordered the gold plated vacuum cleaner? Or maybe a French maid to push it around (dontcha just wish!).
Keep it up and a gentle canter to …..?

Hi Mr betfair profits
I have been following you for a few days now, reading all the posts here and today decided to ‘dip my toe in’
I have gone for the afternoon meetings to start but on an each way basis to spread my risk, hope that’s ok?
Anyway as you know barrista was second so gave me my money back + 50p, got Skyfire each way also, funds are limited right now but once the bank increases I’ll be joining in fully.
Many thanks
Martin
Hi martin606,
Could I just ask you if you did indeed place an each way bet or was it a win & place bet because there is a difference.
If you look at Barista’s race then you can see that I advised a win bet of £3 and a place bet of £7 and if doing this then you would have had a return of roughly £18.48, giving a profit of £8.48
If you look at tonights races at Wolverhampton you will see that I have advised 2 horses in each race, these horses are to have win stakes only. We do get quite a few losing bets but so far the winning bets are more than enough to see a good profit, just make sure that your stakes are in proportion to your betting bank.
Hi
New to this and at the moment I have a WH account, so looking for the place set icon, have found the win and each way (£2.50 E/W. I will be following your selections but lower stakes which I’ll adjust to half of what you recommend until the bank builds up, want to be in this for the long term, so don’t mind starting slowly.
Just bet the two today but will come in stronger tomorrow.
Martin
Hi Martin,
The majority of traditional bookmakers like wh doesn’t allow for the place market so you would have to settle for each way with them.
I would advise to open an account if possible with either Betfair or betdaq, apart from being able to do such bets you would also benefit from better odds.
Hi BetfairP,
I have just recently discovered your selections and i must say well done in what i consider to be one of the best systems so far, how much would you suggest on per stake from a 4k bank!
Lora
Hi Lora Betfair P has put at the top of this thread what your stake should be 2.5 % to 5%, so 4k bank would be 100 to 200 pound per bet. Hope this helps
Kindest Regards
Paul Y
Good evening BF Prof.
At risk of being ignored again, I would repeat my question of 14th Oct.
‘Have you looked at your All Weather record over a long period? is it worthwhile or does it reduce your profitability?’
I hope you can find time to answer this.
Best regards
M.
I’ve never gotten on with betfair and decimal odds but have found some dutching calcs which will certainly help with the betting and stakes for i’ll know i’m not losing if they place.
As soon as i can i’ll get a betfair account.
Martin
Hi Addick,
I’m sorry I missed your question, wasn’t intentional but in answer to your question then no I haven’t looked at my all weather record but there again I haven’t looked at my turf or national hunt record either.
It’s just me, my newspaper and betfair and to be honest the only thing that I’m interested in is what leaves my account and what gets put back in.
I know that some people would be horrified by me saying that but I’m of the opinion that you can over analize things, you can always find a reason why you shouldn’t bet in any race.
But in all honesty I dont think that the all weather is doing any harm to the profits, take yesterday at Wolves we staked £50 and had a return of £33, so minus £17 but it could so easily have gone the other way with Bajan Bear getting beaten by a length.
I’ve given out 20/1 winners at all weather tracks and I have also lost on the turf, so they would probably even themselves out over the course of the season.
I’m sorry if you thought that I would go through sheets and sheets of past data and supply you with a load of facts & figures but that’s just not me.
There are 3 races for this afternoon and I’m also looking at Kempton for this evening so call back at around 4.30pm.
Will do yesterday’s & weekly results a bit later on today.

Hi Lora,
Although it states between 2.5 & 5% at the top of the page I would personally go a little lower at the moment and put me to the test before taking the plunge.
We are in between seasons at the moment, the flat runners have had a hard season & the jumpers are yet to get going proper, so we may get some unusual results for a while and a bit of caution regarding stakes is advised.
Hi BetfairP,
Thanx for your honesty, can you confirm if your jumps selections are as profitable as your flat runners!
Lora28, you are evidently far too lazy to scroll up and read betfairprofits’s previous answers. In the answer previous to the one he gave you, he observes:
‘I’m sorry I missed your question, wasn’t intentional but in answer to your question then no I haven’t looked at my all weather record but there again I haven’t looked at my turf or national hunt record either.’
Hi Betfairprofits
Your doing a great job i look forward to your selections every day.
Thanks for all the time and effort you put in.
Cheers
Rich
Hi Lora,
By the very nature of how I bet ensures that I will always get a number of winners no matter what the season.
I personally prefer the jumps to the flat but only when the season has got under way proper.
If I do end up starting a service then I have plans in place to hopefully improve the profits. One of these would be to rate each race and assign it with a points system from say 1 – 5, 5 being a “Nap” bet.
Results for Tuesday 16th October.
Bit unlucky yesterday with Skyfire just out of the placings in 4th & Bajan Bear just failing by a length in our nap bet. Not a lot of damage done but could have been a lot better.

Hi BF Prof,
Thank you for answering my question about your AW selections, I certainly don’t expect you to undertake an analysis, if it is not something you do as you go along, that would be very time consuming; if you are happy with the profits coming in why would you bother?
The reason that I asked is that it appeared to me that these were less successful and might be reducing your profitability, however I realised that I was only looking at a small and therefore perhaps unrepresentative sample; I did not want to spend my time reviewing your past results if you were already doing it.
I will see what I can do, the way the weather is turning we may have a whole day lost quite soon; maybe I will just not bet on Saturday…
Best regards
M.
decided to go for all your afternoon selections today at £2 stakes, got a £26 return on Hi Dancer, so took me to a small profit, after laying out £12 at £2 stakes on all selections and after yesterdays choices I did e/w.
Thanks and I think i will stick at it as it’s long term that’s going to win the day.

Hi Addick,
I can honestly say that throughout the competition Kempton is letting me down badly, so I shall just “paper trade” these myself over the coming weeks and see how I get on and then possibly reintroduce them at a later date.
The all weather tracks normally serve me well thru the winter months when everything else is frozen over and hopefully they will continue to do so and I think that from today I will start keeping stats for the all weather tracks just to see how they do overall.
Hi B F Prof,
That is a good way to do it, far less onerous than going back through previous results.
Barton went out to at least 24′s in running… Nice one
Fabulous winner at 17.5 BetfairP, well done!
Hi brunobrooks,
I considered the 11.5 morning price to be good value but going off at 17.2 was a great price, I may have to consider leaving my bets till closer to the off.
Hi laura28,
Yeah good winner and ensures a profit for the day but lets hope the 5.35 comes in as well.
I’m still with WH so got best odds staked £2, got £26 but looks like I’ll be over to BF sharpish
Thanks again for another winning day Mr Profits
I looked at yesterdays selections and noticed BSP was considerably better than early prices in several cases so I went for the BSP in today’s selections. It paid off in the last race… Hoorray
Hi martin606,
It’s not just that betfair normally has better odds but you can guarantee that when you increase your stakes and start winning a lot more you’ll get a polite letter thru the post saying that you account has been closed down, they dont like people taking their money.
markea,
It seems that I’m the only silly sod not taking the BSP!
Hi BetfairP,
Yeah that would be nice but profits are profits, well done and thankyou for your selections and professionalism in this game!
Barton Bounty W 12/1, another outstanding pick, ensuring minimum £25 profit for those of us who only deal in BOG. Still 2 selections to go.
betfairprofits,
I guess its swings and roundabouts, though it would be interesting to compare early odds and BSP over an extended period…
Having compared them for ages, I reckon BOG is better even than BSP, but if you are consistently profitable (as you would be following Betfair Profits), bookies will close you down or restrict your bets anyhow, probably even if you are shuffling your bets around. They don’t like punters who consistently take them to the cleaners via BOG. So BSP is the only long-term option.
BOG, BSP, BF(i assume BetFair or is it BetFred), WH (William Hill)?…..What`s the dress code here guys in this exclusive club and how do I become a member and learn the language please?

Stakes for this afternoon £45
jgg321,
Many thanks for that.
BetfairP, Thanks! Only just started to follow you, and I got on late yesterday, so got lucky, profit both days so far. However, these returns look too high – how can a bookie make a mistake like this?
Help please. Am I being thick here? These cut & pasted.
17 Oct 2012 14:43 Wetherby 15:25 Outright Betting, Hi Dancer, 10/1
Single £2.50 WON £32.50
18 Oct 2012 13:42 Wolverhampton 15:30 Outright Betting, Barton Bounty, 9/1
Single £2.50 WON £32.50
Surely £2.50 at 10/1 is £27.50? And at 9/1, it should be £25 returned?
I would presume you had best odds applied by the bookie you used (Bet365?), Barton Bounty won @ 12/1 12 x £2.50 = £30 + stake £2.50 returned = £32.50. Hi Dancer was returned at 12/1 so the same caluclation applies
Good afternoon,
As the 13.30 is the ‘dead 8′ I decided to go e/w on both, I took a better BOG price than BF on No.8 but backed No. 7 on BF; if there is a n/r bookie will only pay 2 places, another aspect of value to consider.
Win bet only on NAP as 6 run.
16.45. at current prices best I could get was 112% for dutching all 3 for equal return. now that is quite acceptable, the field is down to 12 now and at least 5 of the others remaining look out of contention but I am skipping this one, just can’t fancy any of the selections.
No.6 is going up the weights (7lb since last win) for going close, placed 5/8 starts since last win.
No.11 is 2lb below the last winning mark, 22 runs ago, June 2011.
No. 12 is ridden by a jockey who has won just 2 from 39 rides this month.
Right, that should ENSURE that those of you on get a winner in that race.
Good luck.
M.
Hi Addick
I saw in another post as well that you pick and choose which selections to follow – fair enough – and that you are quite a meticulous punter.
Would you say that you are improving BF Pro’s returns?
‘Full ov Beanz’ looked just that, reminded me a bit of a run by Sanctuaire at Sandown a few months ago, although obviously not in the same class…
Addick,
By the same token, did your post ENSURE that none of us got on a winner in the 1.30?
OMG… remember the good old days when silence was golden and the bets just kept rolling in…
DannyDakota,
Thank you for your comments, it is too soon to tell.
Anecdotally I thought that BF Prof. might be reducing his profitability because he was doing less well on the AW, I need to sample a lot more results to answer that one. Then he dropped the bomb with those 6 @ Wolv. yesterday. I haven’t had time to check the odds yet, shame we can’t do multiples in the PLACE mkt. on BF. Strange but I feel that Wolv. produces different results at afternoon meetings to the evening; can this be true?
no time to check at present.
I make mistakes in betting most days so not as smart as I would like to be.
Much of it is down to poor discipline, knowing what ‘rules’ work for me and then failing to follow them ‘just this once’ or maybe betting in a hurry or whilst taking a phone call ‘so as not to miss the race’ Why? there will be another one soon enough!
M.
I’ll respond to all the posts a bit later on this evening as I’m a bit pressed for time at the moment but in the meantime here’s another 3 for Wolverhampton.

For anyone interested, I think you can do this at Paddy Power and possibly Bet365. Any others?
Took a small loss yeaterday by only taking equal amounts on all the selections, when Mr profit suggested a 4 fold increase on the NAP, so my own fault, but with a small bank I had to take that risk, managed to scrape some back thanks to a football bet that came in (sheff Weds v Leeds)so a £8 loss on the day but thanks to Mr Profits my bank is still up by £13 after 3 days at £2 stakes.
Thanks again
Martin
Damn, had to go out yesterday afternoon so I missed the evening win which would have generated an overall profit. This system is still well worth following though.

Hi martin606,
The “Nap” bet is always double the other bets as it is the race that I think is more likely to give us a winner.
The other bets are 1 point bets (£10 stake) and the stake is to be split between the amount of selections in that race, so 2 selections would have a £5 stake on each.
The nap bet is a 2 point bet (£20 stake) and again this is to be split between the selections BUT yesterday I only gave 1 selection in the nap bet, so this carried the full 2 points (£20 stake) so in your case it would have been a £4 stake for the nap bet.
Hi Bonder4,
Sorry you lost out yesterday and the only thing that I can suggest is if anyone cannot do all the selections on any given day then perhaps just do the nap bet as they seem to be doing ok at the moment.
Unfortunately it’s impossible to know which of the bets will win and which will lose out of the afternoon & evening races.
Not gpoing as planned so far today but hopefully a couple of winners coming in the next 3 races.
I’ve put the Wolverhampton selections back to 5.30pm as our first race wouldn’t be until 6.20 and I would like to see what sort of profit/loss we are looking at before posting them as it may well reflect in the total stakes for tonight.
In light of this afternoon’s dismal display I have decided not to tempt fate and leave it there for the day and hopefully pick it back up again tomorrow.
What happened today definite blip. Hopefully tomorrow can salvage the weeks profitability.
We can,t expect to profit everyday, hopefully the good days will over come the bad ones, could you put up Wolverhampton selections BetfairP and let us see if we want to carry on for today if am not being to pushy!
not a good day for the bets but enjoyed watching Frankel at Ascot and also another win for Joseph O’Brien. Looking forward to tomorrow.
x
I’m with lora28 on this. As a second-year bettor, I know that you shouldn’t let previous results/emotions cloud your judgement. If you had planned to post evening selections then you still should – how do you know the results won’t mirror yesterday’s (NAP aside)?
Talking of which, why is it called NAP? Forgive me if you’ve answered this many times already!
You mention in your reply to martin606 today that “the other bets are 1 point bets (£10 stake) and the stake is to be split between the amount of selections in that race, so 2 selections would have a £5 stake on each.” In that case, why weren’t the three bets for 1645 Haydock yesterday £3.33 each instead of £5 each? I’m not grumbling about the extra £5 loss, just trying to understand your system.
Last but not least, (before my maiden post becomes a monster!) I’d also like to congratulate you on an exceptional service. It may seem strange to some readers to be writing this after today’s results but, as others have said, you can’t expect to profit every day, or even every week! I’ve only been betting since Thursday and already I’m thinking about adding it to my betting portfolio – pyoung30 says it all: “started off with a small bank which has been increased 125% since I’ve been following truly remarkable.”
Ouch!! That stung a bit. Nevermind, just think how Paddy Power feels after losing £5 million over Frankels career or £357,000 per race. Oh how my heart bleeds for them lol.
It will only take a couple of good wins tomorrow to recoup losses so not to fret. lora28,I personally wouldn`t bother with tonight, nothing of much value, real low class. No point in chasing any losses. Have patience as these tipsters advocate and It`ll work out fine.
Kind regards Steve.
betfairprofits is definitely losing the plot – he didn’t even include Frankel in his selections. No wonder it was a bad day!! What’s wrong with the man…
1/5 is the reason he left it out.
Its you thats losing the plot…Markea.Who the hell wants a 2/11 shot advised?
Are you on ‘wacky baccy’?
I was looking at it myself but when I saw those odds 2/11 i thought what’s the point.
I actually did have a ‘punt’ at Wolverhampton and luckily won at the 7.20pm race but it was pure luck on my part, a £30 winner (£8 to win) so Phew!!
A bad day all round yesterday betting wise, even the football was all over the place.
Onwards and upwards.
Martin
montyboy & David1886,
Did you seriously think I was being serious – where is your sense of humour. Of course I didn’t expect betfair to go for Frankel at those odds. Onwards and upwards today…
Morning all, firstly please dont think that the lack of selections at wolves last night was purely down to having a losing day as it wasn’t.
I have had a few non return days throughout the competition and it will and does happen and to put it into perspective I’m only down a £1 on the week with today left to go.
Markea, it’s you that must be losing the plot, why would I tip a long odds on shot? If you go thru all my selections you will see that I have only ever given out a handfull of favourites and that’s because part of what I do is to find the races that I consider the favourite would lose in and to try and find good odds winners.
gobbledygook, if you look at earlier selections you will see that I done exactly that to start with (£3.33 on each selection) but then I noticed other competitors staking 1,2,3 points and so on, so I just thought that a fiver on each is better than £3.33 on each.
The selections for today will be posted at around 12ish, cant get them any earlier because of family stuff.
Markea,
Wish you’d posted that a bit earlier would have saved typing time.
I guess no-one gets my sense of humour!!!
I got it Markea, not sure why nobody else did.
But we all seem to agree on onwards and upwards, so onwards and upwards it is !!
To Markea : I thought ‘you’ve got to be joking” , however some people might have said what you said in all seriousness . They haven’t read the introduction to this service . I’ve seen it before , you wouldn’t believe what some people say . Might I suggest a

Markea, don’t worry about it – I got it too, but thought immediately, “That’ll ruffle one or two feathers!”
For some reason, perfectly normal people with perfectly good senses of humour seem to turn them off when money is somehow involved. I’ve never been able to work out why and have given up trying. Seen it time and time again (as Pabridge also said), and I would bet a lot that your effort yesterday won’t be the last. But it made me smile, so thank you!
BFP, best of luck today! (And everyone else too, of course…. even me!)
Hey BetfairP,
Could you confirm what the profit stands at as of today 21st October!
Cheers Lora
tigeryork, thanks for your reply, seems to make sense. It is StanJames.
Markea, yes, you’ve shown sense of humour earlier, and seeing earlier posts you’re clearly a BetfairP fan. Best go with the smiley I guess.
BetfairP, have missed the weekend in a drunken haze but been happy with following you thus far, thanks, will get my vote
Andy
Drunken Haze??? I’m sure I backed that at the weekend:)
How do you get those smiley thingys to show up?? [I Don't want any more misunderstandings!!]
I backed drunken haze as well but it came in third to Throwup and Massive Headache.
There are 3 races for today, will also post results a bit later on.

Last week’s results and competition totals.
Before I give the totals I would just like to say something about the weekend, I’m not normally the type of bloke that talks about things and I like to keep my private life private but I feel that I owe it to everyone that’s following and voting for me to say something.
For the past few weeks I’ve been feeling a bit unwell and on Saturday I was in quite a lot of pain and this was the main reason that I didn’t post any selections at Wolverhampton. Then on Saturday night I collapsed and was rushed to hospital and it turns out that I had an angina attack and with me not liking hospitals I signed myself out and came home at around 4am on Sunday.
I was knackered and still in a bit of pain when doing yesterday’s selections, so appologies for not posting any replies or posting the results for a couple of days. The medication that I’m on has done the trick and I feel fine again this morning and hopefully we can start the week off with a bit of profit.

Please dont make any comments on the above as I dont do “sympathy” but I welcome all the normal comments and questions and thanks for your continued support in the competition.
markea, just type a colon followed by a right hand bracket with no spaces – i.e. “:” then “)” – & the smiley face will appear in your post like magic!
BFP – no worries, the 2 most important things are health, plus friends & family. If anything affects either (which includes posting to this thread), don’t do it – simples. I wish you all the best (& no, this is not sympathy, I don’t do sympathy!)
Hey BetfairP, Am Glad your feeling much better look after yourself and keep up the good work!
BFP, I don`t do hospitals either cos people die there.
I figure if I`m going out of this game it`s going to be the same as I came in, kicking and screaming.
Take a rest for a bit cos there`s nothing worth fretting over at the moment.
Flat form is on it`s arse judging by todays results. I only scored 1 out of 9 races myself and that`s dutching 3 in each race!!!! You may as well have stuck a pin in and guessed.
I wish you a speedy recovery cos you`ve got the AW stats to sort out soon.
No pressure mate.(Well you did say you don`t do sympathy).
Let`s keep taking the medicine and get on with the cure.
Rgs, Steve.

I hope this this encourages you and if it doesn’t then I am sincerely sorry. You, however, Betfairprofits, are one of the achievers of this world so thank you.
Good luck with the competition and thank you very much for your sterling work in making us more money…thank you.

Hi Everyone i’m new to this system, is it usual to have such long losing runs,17 without a win over the weekend and now on 13 and counting, not good for the nerves.
Hi jammy68,
Simple answer is yes… all to do with strike rate and average winning sp… BFP is within the margins so just gotta stick with it. Not the best time of year for racing either at the moment with the changeover from Flat to NH
Hi jammy68,
Not all bad news, I did finish last week with just below a 2 points profit, I’m down this week so far but I’ve no doubt that I can pull it back and go into profit again before the end of the week.
oooooo fancy new interface… pity the racing isn’t loking as good lol
Bummer, joined the party at the weekend and not been able to convince her indoors of the potential given the number of lost bets. Would like to continue but don’t think she will buy it. Anyone got any convincing one liners?
Oh look Jeremy Kyle`s on.
I know what I’d say, but I suspect you wouldn’t like it: “Bye then, dear!”

There is also a meeting at Kempton tonight and I will be supplying selections. My record at Kempton during the competition hasn’t been great but I have decided not to be influenced by the odd comment pointing this fact out, as bad runs at any meeting always come to an end and hopefully tonight will be the night when it does.
Another bad start to the day
@BFP… agreed… bad runs always come to an end and the only people complaining are those that cant be bothered to get off their lazy arses and do things for themselves and just want easy money. I dare say both of us, being from an older generation, know this not to be possible. I have been following your selections from the very first day and have the stats to prove you are VERY good at what you do… please disregard any negative comments and do your thing … it works
One good win tonight will turn today’s result around.
Here Here Pagan. No such thing as easy money. Iv`e been up since 6am head in the books, I`m 50 and seven eighths and still drawing in crayon but Iv`e learned that studying well pays dividends.
@BFP It`s just that transitional time mate and any normal form at this time of year be it flat or NH is really opposable.
I have a question for you….
In the years you`ve been applying your system to the market, how often have you encountered anomalies such as this?
Rgs Steve.
The pain goes on for now with just the 2 2nd placings for today, the racing for tonight not looking as promising as first thought and just the 2 races for us.

Results for Wednesday 24th October.
2 good winners last night at Kempton which brings the defecit down a bit, still 4 racing days to go and hopefully the bad run is behind us for now.
But putting it into perspective as of Wednesday morning we were only 6 points down and given that we do have some big priced winners then this in my opinion wasn’t a major problem and easily overcome with a winner or two.

Quite agree jayjay, and can you imagine what they would be like if they were PAYING for the Service!!!! It’s costing them nowt, no-one’s forcing them to follow the Selections, and if they think they can do better all they have to do is post!
I think this is a great service. The results speak for themselves . Keep it up

£1863.30 for the tricast. Pity you can’t record that in your results for the competition.
Hi Betfair,
As you know, been with you from the start and great to see you come back with a bang after your recent health problems.
Know you don’t want sympathy but congratulations again never hurt anyone.
Hope this result silences the doubters out there.
Few losses soon recovered if you keep the faith as some of have done throughout.
Keep ‘em coming as I’ve said before.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the comments and your continued support, won’t answer everyone individually as I’m a bit of a lazy git but I really do appreciate all the comments and my mrs likes reading them as well.
I didn’t get to see the first 2 races but I noticed that we could only get a 2nd & 3rd in our first race and were beaten by the well fancied fav, so a bit unlucky with that one.
I obviously thought a lot of our 2nd race, hence making it the nap of the day but even I didn’t think that we would get a 1,2,3 and more surprisingly was the fact that our winner drifted so badly in the betting. Out of the 3 runners “Royal Holiday” was favoured to do the best and I thought that the 15′s I took this morning was great value.
Anyway a profit for this afternoon is assured regardless of what happens with our next 2 races and that’s always a nice position to be in, so good luck for the rest of the day and have also lined up a few races at wolves for tonight.
Just when you think the service could not get any better eh. I take my hat off to you sir. Absolute class.
Dude, I think you’ve just sewed the competition up. Even as a rival, in the comp and in betting (ie. laying per your backing), I love seeing your results come in.
Keep up the good work. If nothing works out for me, I’ll still follow you.
Glad you are feeling better after the weekend too.
All the best
Dean
Hi Dean,
I think your jumping the gun a bit mate, we’re all having our ups and downs in the comp and still 2 months left to proove ourselves and as the old saying goes “It’s not over till my wife sings” (or something along those lines)
Just keep plugging away and I’m sure it’ll be a good tight finish.
hahaha. I won’t comment on the wife thing but I know what you mean.
I think all of us have some promising stats but I think what you do to get wins at very high prices is awesome.
Good luck this evening.
Dean

Guys, anyone else had a problem with Stan James mobile interface? Using ipad placed fiver on all todays selections and as I got home & checked, it’s telling me I put a load of random amounts on like 1.67, 1.43 etc.
Andy
I withdrew all my money from my Stan James account as they’d only let me put on bets to a maximum of about $3-$4 stake. They say it’s because I’m in Australia and this isn’t a market they target, hence the restrictions. Why let us open an account then????
Hi Rocstar
Have you tried going through a VPN? Might do the trick, if they cant see where you are connecting from.
What’s Betfair like to use over there? And does it have a ‘UK wallet’ as against the ‘Australian wallet’ we have to use here to bet on Ozzie events?
When I registered I needed to state I’m in Australia though and this needs to be correct so I can withdraw my winnings (of course
)
My Betfair account has two wallets, an Australian wallet for Aus races etc, and a Main wallet for all international events such as UK racing, euro football etc.
AndyC
I don’t use mobile interface but SJ have problems with their site, have had to phone them a couple of times to get bets on manually and unable to open my account for about a week. I bet the ‘deposit’ function is working o.k. though…
I stopped using stab James I had to ring them a few times to get bets settled sometimes they were not settled next morning. They had a promotion with free bets while one of the festivals was on half way through they withdrew it after I placed my qualifying bets of course!!!!
Thanks for replies Rocstar,Addick, twink1. I’m only using mobile interface as it defaults to that on the ipad, would rather it didn’t. Will have to get bets on betfair instead.
I missed the evening selections.tsk.
There are 7 races for this afternoon, haven’t gone through the wolves card for tonight as yet but no doubt there will be a few. I’ll try and get the Wolves selections up at around 1pm today.

There are 5 races selected for Wolverhampton’s evening meeting. There are some big odds available for tonight and just for you to know, I dont deliberately target the bigger odds but part of my selection process is never to look at the odds until after I have made the selections and tonight it’s just panned out that I’ve selected big odds.
Also look out for the satkes in our 7.40 race, my main selection carries a bigger stake as the selection ran on to get 2nd for us a week ago and this may well be his day but we do have “Mousecliff’s” selection to beat in this race.

The amount of times you pick the first 2 is unreal. Have you kept a record of this? Perhaps it isn’t often enough to make it pay. I think it will have a small RF on your naps and see how it goes.Already a good day. Well done
Sorry but I don’t keep records but I wouldn’t tell anyone not to do a £1 RF as I do get quite a few in the first 2.
As for tricasts I doubt another one like yesterday’s will come up again for a while and again I wouldn’t put anyone off from giving it a go at just £6 a pop.
After the third race we have returned over a third of the day’s total stake, so fingers crossed for a few more winners today.
new to betting and find I have a lot to learn. (not telling my grandchildren what I am doing!!!!)
What is a RF? Is this similar to Reverse Exacta with Betfred? Not sure what I did but tried this one and had returns with the NAP bet.
x
Hi Gail,
A RF stands for “reversed forcast” which simply means that you predict the 1st & 2nd in a race and they can come in any order.
So your bet would have been the same as a RF.
just joined today and your past results are impressive, I am betting on £2 stakes for the moment as don’t mind when they lose and make a nice profit when they come through. Think you definitely have to have the mindset of increasing your starting bank slowly and making an overall profit rather than looking for a quick payout like some do. Well done so far and good luck in the comp.
Hi sbloor,
The main reason why a lot of people never win at this game is that their stakes are not in proportion to their betting bank, always better to start off small and build your bank up first and then never more than 5% on each bet, especially when trying out a service that is new to you.
Hopefully we can win you a few quid over the coming days.
just joined in the fun today. have read a lot of the posts and overall they seem to be favourable. I’m new to betting, on horses anyway, so I will start small and see how it goes. Not sure about all the lingo and some of you punters make it sound very technical. I thought you backed a horse to win or place and it did or didn’t. seems it’s not that simple but I’m sure I will pick it up.
Graham
Hi Graham,
You’ve come to the right page, nothing technical here just straight win bets, place bets & win & place. If you do see anything technical then it hasn’t come from me, I’m a one finger keyboard specialist.
Hi Graham. Just noticed your comment. Basically a win bet is what most professional punters advocate, they predict that there is great value in their selection. And I, personally, would follow that scheme of things unless they advise an E/W (each way or win/place) which is half of your stake to win and the other half to place. It`s a split bet. This will cost you twice as much as a win only bet.
If the selection doesn`t win you lose the first half of the bet but if it placed then at least you get some money back because the other half of your stake has bet on the selection to come 2nd or 3rd.
If it does win, however, then bonus cos you get the win and place money. It`s sort of an insurance scheme.
I am sorry for misleading you Graham when I said it will cost you twice as much money as a win only bet. It wouldn`t. If you bet a £10 win, then a £5 e/w would cost the same amount.
Betfair,
I am going to start following you as of tomorrow. I have a £500 bank will I just follow your bets exactly as you put them up? I take it you base your bets on a £500 bets?
Bg
Hi Bg,
I would suggest starting off with around 2.5% of your bank, which in your case is £12.50, this would then be split and placed on my first race tomorrow.
If it wins then your bets increase, if it loses then your stake decreases but whatever you decide to do dont go over 5% of your bank on any one race.
500 bank I meant
BFP – following the tricast stories the other day, I decided to go for the RF on your naps.
:):):):)
How can I put this? …
…it took my spaces out, but you know what I mean.
Thanks. Just about to go away for a couple of days, so the eating out is sorted for that now!
Hi Pete,
Glad you made a few quid, haven’t looked yet what the FC was but sounds ok, have a nice half term break and enjoy the happy meal.
Results for Friday 26th October.
The day started off well with a couple of winning bets and a small profit for the afternoon but it went downhill from there and couldn’t get a winner at Wolves.
Someone over at “Mousecliff’s” page stated that he thought that both of us “got carried away” after thursday but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
I’ve been in this game a long time and I dont let my emotions get in the way of how I make my selections, I have had many many much bigger winning days than we had on Thursday and yesterday just panned out that there were more races that qualified on offer.
I could have laid back after Thursday and said bugger it just give out 1 or two and end the week on a good profit but that’s not me and if I see what I think is a good opportunity then I will go for it.

The old one-two again, Betfair! Unfortunately for me I did the RF in the 3.10 instead of the 4.15
Well done!
betfairprofits do you have independent Staked/Return/Profit/Loss/ROI for win and place bets, instead of all combined? I would like to know if one is getting better results than the other.
Unfortunately I dont keep any records at all. I only know that I show a good profit by following all my selections as a whole and I should imagine that they all even themselves out over time.
I do realise that some people like to filter out what isn’t performing well and what is performing well to try and improve overall results but you can guarantee that if you say drop the place bets then I’ll have a great run of big priced places come in.
Sorry that I couldn’t be of more help.
Another NAP win, well done.
Yeah seem to be going ok at the moment, 3 on the trot now.

Nice 6/1 winner today, Guydus. Not too far off with a 5/1 second, also. Small loss on day, but as usual you are not often far off.

Woops, silly me, didn’t spot the n/r. Tbh I’m only doing the naps atm!
I think it fair to say that you really shouldn’t use normal bookies for these bets as Betfair prices are nearly always going to be better at the 5/1 and above level which many of the selections are. Guydus was returned at 12s (11/1) at Betfair SP. That makes quite a difference.
Early BOG is as good as, or better than Betfair SP overall. However, BSP is the simplest and safest long-term solution.
With hindsight then I would definately have used BSP instead of the morning odds as it would have added hundreds extra to my competition totals but unfortunately I couldn’t change things after the comp started.
I should imagine that the majority of people who have read previous posts now do take the BSP.
I’m pretty well a novice at betting, but succeeded in making a useful profit on Saturday from your horse racing tips. Well done and thanks a lot. (And did really well with Matt Houghton’s 2nd Acca a few weeks ago.)
A question, though – how do I make a “place bet” on Betfair
left side of your screen on your chosen meeting in blue it says
2.00 betfair profits 1mile hurdle (just an example)
2.00 to be placed
is this what your looking for
Thanks sally7515: I’ll check it out pronto !
piperbob I usually copy/paste the horse’s name on the search box, click on the race that appears on the drop down list, then on the left there is a “XX:XX To Be Placed”. Or if you prefer, All Sports > Horse Racing – Today’s Card > XX:XX Track (Country) (Place).
Thanks johnye_pt – I’ll give it a try, the next time.

It must be Monday. I could never get the hang of Mondays. At least Trojan Sun gave us a place. It`s this daylight saving it cocks everything up.

Hi all, been following this contest for 2 mths now and getting in and out at the wrong times as usual.l live in Spain now and they changed their betting rules so now i can’t bet horses or trade on any bets.So i was wondering if any of you wizz kids can tell me how i can fool my laptop into thinking i’m in the UK.Iknow it can be done -just don’t know how.
Good luck to all left in this competition, it has been a great learning curve for me and may the best man win.Help.
A VPN should do the trick.
Hi mal

Hi mal123
I am also in Spain but am able to use Bet365, Betfred, Betvictor and Coral. The rules have changed, so I understand, and uk sites are being changed to comply with Spanish rules but unfortunately many sites are not yet in English and as I do not read Spanish I cannot use them.
Gail
How the hell did Flamborough win that?!
That win by Flamborough was just magic – I’d almost given up hope of a win this evening !
Yeah this evening hasn’t panned out as planned, would have like another 1 or 2 going in but very unlucky this afternoon with the majority of our runners being placed.
By passing the post infront of everything else.
Ha Ha. Good answer Betfair
very funny. What a late run though. Came from absolutely nowhere. Finished like a train. Definitely one to watch as had a bad start
tsk. I only manage to get it at the odds of 12. A whooping 18 would be so lovely if I was able to get it on time.
Alas that is what the gamble is about. Whether to take an early price or BSP ? Best to split 50/50.Maybe?
All through the competition I have seen the majority of my selections go off with a much higher BSP, sometimes over treble the odds that I give out in the morning, so it’s nice to see the odds go my way for a change. I should imagine that a few people on here were able to get the 18′s before it started to get backed.
There are 5 races for today and a possibility of a couple at Kempton for tonight, if going ahead then these will be posted at around 3.30pm.

Hi Betfair,
Just a quiet thank you once again from one of your original followers.
Nap in again with the old one two!!
In profit for the day with plenty more to come.
I’ve said this a few times already but thanks again and KEEP EM COMING!!!
Cheers,
James.
Hi James,
Thanks for your continued support and yeah it’s a good feeling when the first race comes in and a guaranteed profit for the day. Unlucky with the second race, thought at one point “Dozy Joe” was going to win, got the third as well in that race, so they seem to be going ok so far today so fingers crossed.
SP was 11 as well. Thanks BFP!
And once again I got it wrong and took the 8′s this morning!
Awesome one , two again. Started RF on the naps last week. £5rf paid £291. Cheers Betfair
Hi bruno,
Good payout for a tenner, I really should think about placing these bets myself. Fingers crossed for the 2.40 race, Bajan Bear has been backed into fav and it’s due a win so hopefully that’s today.
Hi, Just started following you and I’d appreciate an explanation regarding how to place a NAP bet – apologies for asking a dumb question, but I’m a novice.
Hi grabling,
Simply put the “nap” bet is the race that I think has the best chance of winning out of all my races.
You simply place a win bet on BOTH of the selections. Some days I may only give out 1 horse, so it would be a win single. Is that ok or do you need to know how to place an actual bet?
Hi, Thanks I’m going to do some reading up and then I may come back with further questions. In the mean time I’ll continue to follow your tips with interest.
Tonight’s Kempton selections.
Really frustrating day so far, a nice winner in the first then placed selections in the next 2 races but with one race left to go a profit for this afternoon is assured.
I’m not overly inspired by tonights racing but there are 3 races that may give us a bit of profit but I am advising half point bets on 2 of these.

So working things out is seems that if we draw a blank tonight then noting lost or gained.
Nothing lost or gained for you, but for those of us that got BFSP at 11.0, it’s profit no matter what
Yeah that’s correct, still kicking myself that I didn’t start the comp off with BSP instead of morning odds, lost loads by not doing that.
Swings and r/abouts BFP, i lost at least £100 on a winner yesterday taking bsp and it was backed in from 12sish /17bfr to win 6.8bfr, Grrrrr, sometimes you just cant win!!!
Still, forgot to add, a great Nap today, i am doing all your bets for about 4 weeks now, well done, keep it up!
I have been following your bets and well done on some good winners, been starting small with only half of your bets stakes every day but although there are some winners they don’t always cover the losses. Going to try and up the bets to your stakes so should be in profit overall and build bank back up
How do you select the BFSP on mobile app? Will keep following and good luck with the comp.
Hi Everyone , can anybody tell me how to do a rev forcast, and what bookie to use.Keep up the good work betfair, by far the best system that I have used.
VWD today. Overall results of the naps, in particular, are outstanding. Another winner and f’cast up today.
Bloody Hell! I am one unhappy chappy. For the last couple of days I decided to do a RF on your NAPs. But today I forgot GRRRRRRRRRRRR. Well done anyway for another one-two.
Cheers, Stuart
Some close 2nds (7?!)again, so you are defo on the right track, what a lovely mover Dashing David was in the 705, a shame he had a shade too much to do, one to watch, one way or another you were right to be cautious about stakes tonight, well done with last race off shortly.
I have been following your tips for about a month and think you are a brilliant tipster. I feel you are very confident in what you do and i will definitely follow you for a long time. Is there any chance of knowing how many of your tips since you started ( percentage wise ) have actually been placed. I would be very interested to know.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!
Thank you
Hi pinochio123,
Sorry dont have any stats but I can say that a high percentage are placed.
If you intend doing the win selections as place bets then just make sure that the odds are over 2.2 (if doing 2 selections) this would give a very small profit after comissions are taken. If both selections come placed then obviously more profit.
It would give you smaller payouts but you would get more winning bets.
Selections for Thursday 1st November.
4 races for today all at Lingfield, will post any Kempton selections for this evening at around 3.30pm.

Bugger, completely lost track of time and didn’t manage to get the nap bet on- well done again though BFP.
Really good stuff betfair I have only just started following you with actual money and I’m well in profit. Cheers
I cannot believe how BFP picks them!! Like Rocstar, hope I will be able to afford to follow a paid service. Only betting £1 or 50p but bank building up. Sooo exciting.

Missed out on Haamaat, but got on the Nap which forced it’s way through to win. Excellent tipping Betfairprofits, waiting for next race eagerly. Keep it up.
Tonight’s Kempton selections but firstly thanks for all the comments, has been quite a good day today so far and with 1 race left to go a profit is guaranteed, which is always a nice position to be in.

Betfair with more and more people following your bets is it likely that this will bring down the BFSP. Would it be better to take your early prices or is it just your luck really?
The majority of the time the selections normally drift out, so as yet it’s not a problem but if everyone started to place £100 on then yes it would bring the odds down, perhaps spreading bets on betfair, betdaq & traditional bookies would help.
I think tonight’s stakes should total £45 [not £55]. Keep up the great work.
Cheers,
Mark
Thanks for that, maths has never been a strong point, will correct tomorrow when doing the day’s results.
Hi Gail,i’m sticking with betfair as i can do my bet and lay easier and i’m getting around the problem by expat shield if you ever need to use them.
Another excellent nap win. You keep producing these like pulling rabbits out of a hat. VWD.
Selections for Friday 2nd November.
I recommend half point stakes for this afternoon just to be on the safe side as the majority of the runners over the sticks are having their first run of the season and to be honest anything could happen.
We have Wolverhampton tonight and this meeting usually produces a winner or two for me, unlike Kempton!

Hey BFP,
Going great mate. Keep going like this and you’ll have this thing won for sure.
Just wondering, what’s the date you started with the Naps?
Cheers
I did all the stats for the nap bets a week or so ago, wrote them down on a bit of paper and now I can’t find the bit of paper but when I have the time I’ll do them again and save on the computer for future reference.
The naps started on the 6th September.
Hi Betfair,
Just to let you know I am still here and following your NAPs, with a nice profit for the month. What a start to November,a great ride from G Lee. Now the N/H season is about to get going and the All-Weather, would it be possible for you to give a NAP in both disaplins when you think it appropriate? i.e your afternoon selection and may-be an evening meeting on the all-weather. As the instigator of asking you orginaly for a NAP service and seeing how popular it has become it might be quite fun and hopefully a lot more profitable.
Thanks again for your unbelivable tips, and dedication, keep taking the pills(i would put a smiley thing in if i knew how) And to you and all your followers BE LUCKIE.
Hi basil,
Believe it or not I was only thinking about doing exactly that this morning, before I entered the comp I used to treat the afternoon & evening meetings as different “days”, so starting from tonight I’ll give out one for the sticks and another for the all weather meetings and see how it goes.
‘Groaaaan!’ Nooooo! Please, betfairprofits, remember the maxim ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t try and fix it.’
Currently, as I see it, your naps are based on what you see as the best bet/s in a particular race every day. In fact that’s what a ‘nap’ bet IS. If you start doing other races and calling the bets ‘naps’, they won’t be naps in the true sense of the word. My worry is that the SR will start to go exponentially down. Please, please stay focussed on the a single nap race per day, don’t start giving us more than one. I am certain it won’t improve nap results, in fact equally certain they will start to lose their current high rate of profitability.
Fantastic!!
Do you ever tear youself away from the form book and or the raceing post and the hoover of course, and go racing? i don’t know where you live i live in Wiltshire i would love to meet you at sometime.
Regards
Peter.
Hi Peter,
I’m from sunny South Wales, in between Cardiff and Swansea. So Chepstow and Ffos Las are my local tracks.
Have been to the majority of race courses over the years with an annual trip to Aintree for the national but haven’t been there for a few years now, getting too old now to stand around in freezing cold blizzard conditions just to see my selections fall, much prefer to watch the racing on telly these days with my pipe and slippers and a mug of hot cocoa.
BFP,
I couldn’t agree more with Skint45. Ther comes a time with any system which works where the demons apeear on your shoulder & start to whisper in your ear “you know, you could tweak this JUST A LITTLE BIT & get even more profits out”. What normally happens is that the profitability goes downhill fast – all for the sake of plain old greed.
Now, don’t get me wrong, if there is a way to tweak a system to improve it, I’m all for it – why not, after all? But those demons tempt you to do it in a rushed, unstructured way. So, if you’d said something along the lines of “I had been thinking of doiong that, & I’ve been paper testing that out for the past x weeks with good results”, then fine. But please don’t just do it from nowhere & potentially spoil a grade 1 excellent tipping service.
At the very least, if you do adopt this new change, please can I ask that you include some indicator to show what the “real” NAP is. I.e. the way you choose it currently?
The phrase used is quite correct – the number of times over my working life I have seen the words “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” ignored with disastrous, not to mention expensive, results leaves me in depsair every time it comes out of the woodwork again.
Sorry, somebody obviously pushed my rant button.
Ooops, that’s what happens when you get into a rant…
*there*
*appear*
In my opinion BFP it is worth a try. You’ve already said you would look at each set of selections as a ‘day’, and your NAP is just your best bet of the’day’. If anyone chooses not to follow your extra bets, they don’t have to.
Keep up the good work.
Lucky
Lucky, as you can see from my post, if BFP decides to do this, OK. But the KEY THING he must do for those who want to carry on as we are is to highlight what would have been his NAP selection under the current rules … i.e. call them “Main NAP” & “Secondary NAP”, or perhaps “NAP1″ & “NAP2″ or something. That way, those who want to treat both as NAPs can do so, & those who want to just keep following the one NAP can carry on that way as well.
Just come back on here now and loads of questions but all mainly down to one thing…the nap bet, so I’ll just answer it here.
I can understand some people’s concerns BUT day time racing and evening racing are 2 seperate “days” for me. I look at the afternoon races first thing in the morning and I dont look at the evening races much at all until the afternoon.
If I did then yes I could decide on an overall nap bet but I dont, so the nap bet is simply my best bet of the afternoon and has nothing at all to do with the evening selections.
To me this is simple, I can give out (in my opinion) the best race for the afternoon and then I can also give out (in my opinion) what I consider to be the best bet of the evening.
You can also say that some people cannot have a bet thru the day because of work commitments but they would like to know what the best bet of the evening is.
I simply can’t see the problem in pointing out to people the best bet in the afternoon and the best bet in the evening. Perhaps I should stop calling them naps and simply call then “afternoon best bet” and then “evening best bet”, you’re all worrying over nothing.
In the past I’ve given out 1 point bets & 2 point bets in the evening, exactly the same as the nap in the afternoons. So the service remains the same except for a few more of these **** in the evening.
OK BFP, I didn’t realise you worked it that way so, as you say, all should be well. It’s your system after all, it’s just that we all love it so much
Hi Betfair , thanks for a great service , been following now for a couple of months. With regard to your answer to bg1979 I was under the impression that the prices cannot be affected by the punter placing a bet away from the meeting ,ie only money going down at the stalls is what affects prices . I used to have a friend that worked at the race courses for a certain bookie and he would send his wife to the higher rate bookmakers to offset the bets he had taken to safeguard his profit. As I understand there are three different rates from bookies at the meetings the normal being Tattersalls and you can get higher odds for a larger outlay . So the person putting 100 or 1000 on a horse sitting at home on his computer will have no effect on the prices at all, Is this correct or have I been given false info? . Best regards
On the exchanges yes money does change the odds, if you look at the odds for any horse you will see maybe £1000 under the odds, this is what is available for that particular horse, if someone lumps the full grand on then it usually goes down to the next available highest odds.
If money goes on a horse at an online bookie they will tend to shorten their odds too.

This is intended for basil and whoever else is interested. I consider the last race to have the best opportunity, we have the well backed fav to beat in this race.
thanks betfair and jgg321 , I was obviously given some bad information .
Keep calling them Naps BFP, it saves you a little time, and it’s how you’re set up to report on them.
And thanks for the great service!

Todays racing update.
Please note that our “NAP” bet is no longer a bet as over half the field has been declared non runners. For competiton purposes the £10 stake still goes ahead on “Strawhall Maul” and I will work any profit out at Betfair Starting Prices.
Stakes for the day are now £25
It’s entirely up to you if you decide to take this race on as a win single as our selection is now the fav.
Hi
I don’t see escardo in the race in the 2.20 at Huntington???
Hi martin606,
Just taken a look and since I made the selections over half the field has been withdrawn, so our nap bet is now null and void.
worth a yankee and a cheeky fourfold i reckon
????????? wat do mean ?
“????????? wat do mean ?”
What do you mean?
Ouch
I wish that I could win every day but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. I’ve had a profitable week, not a lot but profit all the same, so what do people want?
I’m on about 90 points profit so far in the comp but seems even that isn’t enough for some.
No problem Betfair, you are doing fine in my eyes.
Superb service, profit is profit and that is the bottom line over the distance.
Keep it up my friend.
Can’t win them all!! Ha ha
My local independant bookie has renamed the yankee to “My holiday fund”
Keep going Befair. Great service
If you are going to or do run a tipping service (and I prsonally know someone else who does) you have to have great personal resolve and the thickest skin in the world. Some people only see the last result and base their opinion on that. You are simply doing great and hope you may long continue.
I can normally take the bad comments like I do the good ones but when someone just says “Ouch” and nothing else it does get me going a bit.
Today’s selections will be posted a little later than normal as there are 13 races that are “my type” of races but I cannot possibly give out that many and I have to whittle them down.
It’s not easy as I have to make sure I drop the right races so it will be around 10.30 ish before I will post.
going great, and profit or not some days you are still in the money overall which is exactly what it says on the tin, betfair profits !! if some people can’t take the hits then they shouldn’t play the game and they certainly shouldnt judge. the daily profits will come back up, keep making your selections and doing what you do
Hey BFP, don’t let one comment by one person put you off. As you can see from other comments, there are many sensible people out here who think you’re doing a great job (better than many “paid for” tipsters in fact) over the distance that counts … i.e. the long haul.
Every single system ever dreamt up will have losing days. I know that, you know that, & most people following you know that. We also know that the trick is to make the winning days outperform the losing ones over the distance. Your record leaves no doubt as to the fact that you do that with ease.
I haven’t been following you (or any of the others) since the very start of the competition, but with a betting bank that has more than doubled … well, if I could paint my face yellow, I’d look like this
… shame the hair will never grow back!
So ignore the doubters & keep doing what you do – it works. No consolation, but things have dipped over at Flat Four as well, so maybe just down to the awkward changeover period from flat to jumps.
Ignore the cynics; some people must think winners are simple to find – and yet they never post themselves except to offer criticism of others – I wonder why!! – as most right minded people will know the profits achieved have been exceptional
Selections for Monday 5th November.
Got it down to the 8 races and hopfully I have left out all the losing ones and kept the winners.

Hi Betfair,
You already know my opinion about the doubters as I have posted them previously.
Just keep in mind those of us who have always kept the faith with you from the start of this competition and whose bank balances are now a lot healthier as a result!!!!
You know my motto for you “Keep em coming please”!!!!!
Looking forward to another profitable week
James.
Ooops sorry, didn’t mean that ‘ouch’ to be taken so, I ‘m new to this so I stand suitably admonished, mucho apologies to all and Betfair keep up the find work, now crawling back in my hole.
Hi bluejohn,
You dont have to crawl anywhere, everyone has their opinion but I must say that a one word comment like “ouch” was always going to get a response from me.
You have to take everything into consideration, take yesterday’s “Nap” bet for example, when I made the selections there was only 1 non runner declared but a few hours later the field was reduced to just the 4 runners, you’d think that this would make it easier to find the winner but infact it was the total opposite for various reasons.
Some horses like to make the running, some horses like to bring up the rear and make their progress later on in the race and some just like running in bigger fields of runners, it changed the whole complexion of the race that’s why I stated that the nap bet was “null and void” and it was up to the individual if they took the race on or not, so believe it or not we stood a much better chance of finding the winner with 12 runners than we did with just 4.
You said that you are new to all this so I’d just like to say that we dont need everything to win, just 1-2 per day is enough to show a profit even with a few losing days thrown in.
If you only started following me on Saturday then I appologise for the loss but I’m confident that it will be returned to you over the coming days (hopefully today)
Many thanks for the reply, thoroughly decent of you, can I ask when the comp is over will you be providing a paid service and would you consider monthly subs
Rgds
Hi bluejohn,
It all depends on the competition outcome, if I get offered anything from Matt & Agora then yes there would be a paid service and I should imagine it would be a monthly subscription.
If not then to be honest I dont think that I would like all the extra hassle that’s involved with running a business so I would have to seriously weigh up the pros & cons.
i am sure Matt will offer you a good deal. He better!!!
An absolute first class service.
lols BFP… I’m not even going to say anything… you know your the man!!!
I know you don’t keep records but I’d love to send you a copy of my spreadsheet that shows just how good you have been from the very start.
Yeah I’d love to see what you’ve got on me, can it be sent via email? If so please send to ebayprofits101@tiscali.co.uk
np.. yes it can and I will wing a copy off to you after today’s racing
Hi everyone,
Can any one explain how to put on a NAP bet on betfair please.
I seem to be lost on betfair’s site and need some help.
Thanks all!
Hi Skylablu,
I hope that this is a serious question and that I dont end up looking like a fool but just forget “Nap” it just means that I consider it a good bet and you would simply place your bet as normal (£10 win on each horse)
Just to echo the thick skin sentiments, I can tell you that if you make five points every day for a month without fail, someone will criticise you on Day 31 because “you only made three points today!” or something similar. And that’s with a free service – God help you if you start charging for it. Then I think some people expect you to turn the bushes in their gardens into money trees, and may lightning strike you dead if you don’t!
To me and many more on here, you’re doing a grand job. A really grand job. Hang in there!
Great NAP result again,thrilling race,1st and 2nd…..spot on….very well done….thankyou.
Looks like we’ve got the 1-2 there, BSP definitely didn’t work to our favour today though!
No, both selections were well backed throughout the day (and rightly so in my opinion) but I’m pleased with taking the odds at 10am
Yeah they were for once, usually you not only manage to pick winners but also winners ‘against the market’ resulting in even better prices at SP. Ah well, you win some and you lose some with BSP. Well done anyway.
Looks like your back
Btw, I know what a NAP is but what does it actually stand for?
I think it stands for “Not Another Profit” if I’m wrong then there’s bound to be someone that can put us right with this one.
I understood it was short for “Napoleon”. It’s from a card game called Napoleon, where the best hand you can have is called a Napoleon, shortened to a nap.
That would make sense as I have heared it called “Nap Hand” when playing cards
Thanks guys.

Thanks a lot!!
I am still laughing at the 1-2. Great result. Amazing.

Get in. Another Nap RF in the bag. Genius. Even though backed in, it still paid £109 to a £5RF
Just personal preference but I always use BOG so got 7/1 on Dark Lane. Looks like a deduction though as paid out at 5.95/1?!
Cant see why you had a deduction, only 1 non runner and I’m sure this was declared before I priced them up this morning.
i queried it with Betfred, but got some loser on the livechat. got to ask tomorrow when the sports team are back. I dont know when the non runner was declared to be honest. dont think i am the only one looking at the post futher down.
still a great day
Yes, well done again betfairprofits.
My first post here and I’ve been playing along for a couple of weeks now. My approach is to cherry-pick your selections where I can achieve what I think are value odds.
I like to know the price I’m getting and also like InsureBet options to reduce the risk of losses. So I generally use three of the mainstream bookies rather than Betfair.
So today, I bet:
* Passionada: Place only 4/1 – Won!
* Last King of Scotland & Dark Lane – InsureBets @ 11/4 and 9/2 – Refunded Stake and Won! respectively; plus Reverse Forecast, Won at over 20/1!
* Nine Before Ten – InsureBet at 6/1 – Lost
* Also have InsureBets coming up on Tuscan Gold 9/2, Drawnfromthepast 3/1 and Jalers 3/1.
A good profit for the day guaranteed, many thanks to you betfairprofits!
AJ
Great result with the nap bets today. Had winner and SF. Magic.
Thanks BFP and everyone who helped clarify my NAP question earlier.
It’s been a really good day so far.
Thanks BFP. You are the man!
Ouch… missed the bets today and about 60 points profit
how 60 points out of interest?
Yeh man another excellent selection on your NAP bet and i loved the place bets too!!! We dont’ know how you select your horses but whatever you do and i have followed many people before and I have my own system of selecting horses but I think you have a 6th sense. Magic you are excellent. I tell you by using special sequences/formulas your profits can be 10 folded. Thank you very much.
By the way I think NAP comes from coins used in the Napoleon era – The most valuable French coin, at the time the phrase was first used
interesting point about sequencing. any suggestions? i use safebet for one tipster, but only one or two bets a day. This would not work with so many bets every day as unfortunately i have to go to work!! i can see how it would work though with such a high strike rate and with such great odds.
what about doing a % of bank to work out stakes, so as the bank builds, so do the stakes, which compounds the profits
Betfair, is this something you have considered for the future
cheers
Bruno
Betfair, you do say 2.5-5% of bank at the top, so i suppose a monthly recalculation of stakes would be an easy and effective way of increasing bank quickly. Especially with your skills!
You could do this after every bet not just monthly or weekly. When we have a loser then bets obviously go down and with every winner the stakes go up and your betting bank lasts a lot longer during the “lean” periods.
I have something sorted for the future, I am trialing it myself at the moment and lets just say it’s going ok and should over time produce a bit more profit.
Excellent again BFP, well done, and thanks so much. You don’t seem to have many days off though my friend. We all need time to recharge the batteries you know. It won’t harm your percentages if you take a few days, and whilst winning’s great, family, friends, and enjoying life are what it’s all about – hope you’re getting time for that too.
Re my 4:51 pm post, I had no further winners, but returned stakes on InsureBet placed runners Tuscan Gold and Drawnfromthepast resulted in a 14-point winning day, including the unfortunate deduction on the 2:15 at Wolverhampton.
Thanks again betfairprofits!
AJ
Nice one, 8 points more profit.
Selections for Tuesday 6th November.
There are 4 races for this afternoon and I am advising reduced stakes on a couple of these. I have my eye on a few at Wolverhampton tonight, especially one race that will be the “Nap” bet so I will go through all the races there over the course of the day and post selections at around 4pm.

Early prices were the definite winner yesterday. I only returned just under $100 using BFSP.
So you staked $95 and only had a return of $100 for a profit of $5?
Yep. Dark Lane steamed in to 5.75 which took away a lot of the extra profit you got.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still happy to have made a profit
Well done again BFP.
That Dark Lane R4 was a pain though – applied up to 12.31, so I missed out by 4mins! Got the RF though …
I moved recently from BOG to BFSP and feel I have lost out big time. I guess it is swings and roundabouts. I am going back to BOG. Cheers
Keep picking those winners!
I’ve never shopped around trying to find better odds, I just take the morning odds at the time, sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn’t, as long as it wins and I see a profit then I’m normally happy with that.
When will you be posting tonight’s races betfair?
He’s probably still having a lie down after Matt’s explanation of laying liabilities on the SHR Lays thread
I need one that’s for sure, went waaay over my head.

Hi guys. Where do you place your RF bets?
I just use the exacta on Betfair
Thanks PaganPriest!
Hi betfairprofits,
Thanks for the tips, great results. I am really enjoying following along.
Can someone let me know how I can place a RF bet at betfair?
Thanks,
Bov
Hi Bov… just uee the exacta via the Tote on Betfair
Another Nap. Nearly had a combo tricast until Sasheen run out of steam. Absolutely genius on the Naps
A potential disaster saved by the nap bet, but we’ve been very unlucky tonight with Essell just out of the place money in 4th, then a dead heat with peachez, which would have provided a very nice days profit.
So I cant complain too much and there’s always tomorrow.
Simply awesome NAP and a good day, that is about my 4th dead heat winner in the last 2 years, Grrrr! So that was damned unlucky, heard them mention the other DH horse on the radio comms about a stewards inquiry, anyone know what went in?
One of my DH’s i put £50 0n at evens and returned £50, i was fuming and called ladbrokes crooks, thieves, immoral etc.. and got banned!
Many thanks for delivering another Nap win, Betfairprofits. Anyone would think you were privy to absolutely top-class info for those Naps.Amazing.
Let me tell you, blood, sweat & tears go into finding those nap bets and also with a little help from my “lucky pin”
Ouch! (That’s my favorite word now eheheh)
Sasheen ran almost the entire race in 1st place and dropped to 2nd, then Dandarrell came from 3rd to 1st in the final stretch! Well, with the odds I managed to get, this was an even day for me.
Thats what a dead heat does for the profits, could have been so much better but breaking even is far better than a potential 7 point loss, which is what we were looking at going into the last race.
to be replaced by wow! That works for all events
For the learners, whats an RF bet?
RF stands for Reverse Forcast, meaning that you can have the first 2 home in the race in any order.
many thanks
Many thanks for the tips Betfairprofits!
Many thanks for the tips Betfairprofits!
btw, what position did Sasheen ended up? too lazy to check.hahaha.

Hi BFP4U
First up, congratulations on continuing success, and to the other tipsters – anyone who shows a profit in this game is ok in my book.
I have wondered for a while, is there a particular reason why you dont dutch your bets when you have two or more in a race so that you would win equal amounts whichever horse won?
(Apologies if this has been answered previously)
DD
I have a calc that does just that but you can win more by just level staking on each (more so when the higher odds selection wins)
I used to use it all the time a few years ago to win a set amount in any given race it can also be a bit of a pain because by the time you enter the odds etc and get back onto betfair then 9 times out of 10 the odds would have changed but to get over this I used to minus .30 when entering the odds.
If anyone would like a copy then just email me and I’ll send it over to you, its just a basic excel thing but it does what it’s supposed to.
Results for Tuesday 6th November

I would like to say a BIG thankyou to “PaganPriest” for sending me his spreadsheet. I was expecting just a few lines of this and that but no everything and I mean everything is there and I am really impressed.
It must have taken you hours and hours to do all that and it is really appreciated. (I know your doing it for your own records and not for me but that’s dedication for you)
I dont like “banging my own drum” and get a little embarrassed by some of the “praise” I get but if I was looking at joining a service and I saw something like this then I really would be looking for the “Buy Now” button.
I genuinely don’t keep any records, so when reading the daily, weekly, monthly stats etc I was impressed with the results and with a bit of fine tweaking here and there I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be improved upon a little.
Once again thanks for that and keep up the good work (as I might need your expertise in the future)
Hi… no problem at all. Told you it was impressive! The results, not the spreadsheet I mean lol. I sometimes just look at it for a while in awe cause over 25 years of proofing so called tipsters winning systems I have never seen anything like this for results and consistency.
Anything you want to discuss now or in the future just e-mail me… more than happy to help
Hi PP, BFP,
Would it be possible to make the Spreadsheet available for public viewing?
Really appreciate the work you put in BFP, keep it up.
Well done to PP for having the initiative to come up with the Spreadsheet of results.
If you email it to me Betfair I’ll post it on this page. Saves you having to email everyone individually.
Sorry it’s not down to me but if PP okay’s it then either he or I can email it to Matt.
I’d like to echo that, WD PaganPriest for providing a valuable bit of backup for Betfairprofits. If it turns out PP improves results even further thanks to spreadsheet provision we’ll all have reason to be extra grateful.
leviathan is now a non runner in the 3.15 Nottingham.
Yeah just noticed it now, the race stands as a £10 single and total staked for today now £30.
For results purposes I will calculate at the lower odds of 5.5
Hopefully the selection will give us a good run for our money, a CD winner, hitting form at the right time and wont mind the conditions.
Hi BFP I have been following this page with passion for the past 9 weeks and would like to first of all wish you a very healthy and happy life with your loved ones because without you BFP and your service on Matts service the betting rant to whom I would also like to thank, I would never be earning the money opportunity this has allowed and I would have been on the rails and looking for shelter in the coming months. I was down to £300.00 in the bank and the mortgage was looking like going into arrears. I have taken the investment of my money that was in bank because that is exactly what this service is an investment and took the plunge in taking bets at 1.5pts per race and 3pts to every nap. so you can imagine if your naps are up £500 on 1pt what they were on 3pts.
If anyone is new on here then I would say BFP is the only person that brings results in the world of betting…we are not gamblers we are investors and I cannot find any bank that will return me an interest on my investment like “THE BFP BANK” does haha!!
Please continue to keep up the great work and my best wishes are with you and all us BFP BANK investors haha!!
Ps PP please can you allow us to see your dedication to BFP for his master work via the BFP BANK statement haha!!
Love to all the Investors especially the CEO BFP…good luck with the nap today all.
Dillon Singh
Hi Dillon,
Thanks for your message.
The main reason for me entering this competition was to show people what I do to make an extra few quid and to hopefully do the same for others.
If you don’t get too greedy and stake in proportion to your betting bank and dont panic if we hit a losing run then everything should turn out ok and we can all profit long term.
Trust me you wouldn’t want to see my bank account, I have a wife and 3 kids and even though my 2 eldest are in good well paid jobs the buggers still bleed me dry.
Betfair you are a true inspiration to others and although some may overlook your good deeds in life, I believe this is fate. I have looked at other systems paid thousands of pounds for forex systems in the years gone tryin to get by and fell on my a*se a few times too many. I am happy to say your system needs positive people around you and I would like to add that quote everyday.
I have a wife two kids however my kids are too young at the moment to be bleeding me cause I leave them at home when going shopping haha!! the wife has grown to understand the importance of money “for now” haha!! but like said the hard way.
I truly believe in your passion and you have my full support and as I can see from a lot of faithful followers. I would certainly like to keepin touch regardless of what happens in this site and if I have your permission I would like to request you add me to your email forever. If you do decide to set up a paid for service I would certainly take the lifetime service haha!! email is dil_raj@msn.com
my quote of the day for you BFP, Success is the good fortune that comes from aspiration, desperation, perspiration and inspiration.
Evan Esar

That’s a great fit BFP, as I have quite a few bets on at Kempton tonight, but not opposing yours, which would be a worry
Just won on the first race as well!
Betfair I am not coming on for a moan however after yesterday I am currently sitting at £388 from a £500 bank. This is a combination of yesterday’s losses and a bit of bad luck when using sp instead of the prices given. Would this bank be sufficient to continue or would you drop your stakes to suit. Your advice would be appreciated.
Well £80 of that was from yesterday and I can only appologise for the poor display. Just 2 winning nap bets would put you right again, so I’m going to suggest that you only play those bets for a few days until we get you back up and into profit.
I’ll be trying my very best today to try and get the first one in for you.
Yesterday as you are well aware was a total disaster and has knocked us right back to the start of the week. We are only minus 1pt for the week and as you know we can easily get this back.
I had an email late last night from a very irate person saying that I have totally decimated his betting bank, he also sent a read out of his betfair account, which I have only had a quick scan through and I will have to go through every single race, stakes he placed and things like that.
I did notice that there are quite a few football bets as well, which are obviously not mine, so I dont know if he’s genuine or just a bit of a nutter.
My biggest fear when entering this competition was that I would lose people money and if he is right then this will be my last day in the competition.
If it turns out that he’s wrong then I will post his entire email for all to see as he also has a few choice words to say about betting rant members.
In the meantime if I have totally decimated anyone else’s betting bank then please let me know.
If anybodys bank has been decimated it is nobodys fault but the backer. Surely the first rule of gambling is to protect your bank at all times. Percentage of bank staking takes care of this absolutely!. I speak as a 62 year old ex-mug punter who has learnt the hard way(and the expensive way). The prices used, whether S.P. or early prices taken, always meant that this would be a roller-coaster. Look after your bank and enjoy the ride! It is heartwarming to find a tipster who is just a normal bloke and not a shyster who talks utter crap. Your record speaks for itself B.P. so ignore the doubters and carry on. P.S. Not sure about the name though.
Hi BFP, I was away and missed yesterday, but PLEASE don’t stop! You’re doing brilliant! Am away and in KFC for breakfast just to get today’s bets on. Well up in the 4 weeks I’ve followed you.
Keep upthe great work, though looks. Like I’llmiss today’s selections driving home.
As I said betfair I am only asking for advice regarding my betting bank. I have followed you from the start and think you are doing a good job unfortunately for me when I started using real money on your bets it has not went our way. I am keen to keep following you however I want to make sure I do not lose my bank and would like to know if I should stick to the same stakes or reduce them to be on the safe side. Cheers
Sorry betfair your post wasn’t there when I was replying. Cheers for getting back to me.
hi
my bank also very low but it’s ok, its my choice to follow you and i never bet more than i can afford to lose. you certainly have no reason to apologise as you do great and know it will all bounce back. Was also thinking its good idea to just follow naps till it all comes back up! betting is like life, it has its lows and highs but you have to roll with them and enjoy the highs and it makes for an interesting ride haha
Mr profits
My bank is also low BUT most of that is my own fault, not yours, some of it is football, some are yours and some are my own selections. You are always going to get detractors, they might even be trying to make you lose or give up the comp???
For us it’s not just the comp, it’s about hopefully winning some cash, as you can see from the post from Dillion, you have saved his mortgage, that far outweighs someone who thinks they can win everyday, it doesn’t happen, simple as that.
I may lose my bank and have to give up for a month, if that happens, I will be back, so keep going.

You are doing a fantastic job. Please don’t let the detractors get to you after one or two tougher days. It is people’s choice to follow you or not.
At first I was sceptical but I followed you and have since been backing your tips 1pt to win, and 2 pts to place and am up a few hundred quid.
I am very grateful for your service and am a huge fan.
Please keep posting. I would be happy to write up your technique so you can sell it in an ebook or similar if you want. I have followed many different systems for a while now and yours is one of the best.
Chin up buddy!
Cheers
scoundrel
Sorry Scoundrel but I’m afraid I’ve got there first RE turning this into a subscription service… Nice try though!!

Right, Iv’e had a quick scan thru the guys betfair statement and as I thought he is a bit of a nutter.
He was talking about a 2 week period and going through those 2 weeks a £500 betting betting bank would have stood at £563 and this is taking yesterday’s £80 loss into consideration.
Now here’s the thing, even with scanning it thru quickly I noticed whole days were missing, horses that I didn’t even advise and at least 5 footie bets which I dont do (all lost by the way)so god knows what else I’d find if I went thru it properly.
I will post his email a bit later on for all to see and then we can all point at him and laugh and tell him he smells.
But seriously if you only started in the past few days then you may be thinking “oh my god” but anyone who started right from the beginning should be well pleased, it’s just bad timing I suppose.
The selections for today will now be posted slightly later than normal and hoprfully get some of yesterday’s losses back.
‘Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me’.
An old saying, BFP, but one you should take heed of. Do what you and let your followers decide whether to stay with you or not. I am an old school gambler who accepts losses as a natural part of the game, so getting a good few winners through your tips is great – forget what the whingers say.
Don’t try too hard to pull back winners though as that’s normally a recipe for disaster. Just stick with your best bets.
Great stuff ! Well done mate.

Punters are very fickle, Betfairprofits, as you know.
They shouldn’t bet more than they can afford to lose, and if they don’t like your service why don’t they shove off elsewhere?
Personally, I only back your Naps, so I am very well in indeed. If I wasn’t, I’d quietly switch to something else. You do your best, and it has been a damned good best. Moaners: go away.
Forget those ranting about their bank size and give your true followers the bets for today (don’t know where to place the “ouch!” in this sentence
)
Good morning BF Prof.
A genuine person like you needs a hide like a Rhino to do this, don’t get despondent or give up, there are reasons for the current barren patch.
I know that you don’t keep detailed records, if you did they would probably show you that there are cycles/seasons and it does turn profitable again. The problem with that is that it can eat up a lot of hours from your life, if you keep to the same selection methods then a simple note in the diary about weather/going and weekly or monthly profit/loss figures is probably all that is required; being able to see that you have been there before and come through it gives you confidence.
ALL services I know about are struggling recently, even those of past proven performance, if you want to look close to home Mousecliff and Maverick are in similar difficulty.
Possible reasons:-
i) Awful going, there has been alot of boggy ground. This is not helped by the ‘going reports’ published by certain courses, some are downright false. Then we have the nonsense of asking the jockeys after the first race. I could write the script sitting here, it varies according to the position that the jockey finished; others, particularly Ffos Las are always misleading.
ii) End of the flat/start of the jumps.
Some of the flat horses have had a lot of racing, are tired and/or disinterested so don’t run to form.
Most of the jump horses have not run for months, some trainers will have them fit while others will run them into fitness so previous form cannot be relied upon at the start of the season.
iii) Some horses are fit from the turf and transfer to the All Weather for the first time, we don’t know if they handle it and that can throw up some unexpected results.
Maybe the best strategy is small stakes, betting a percentage of your bank per point is always sound, only strongest selections and be patient.
Personally I only backed Lady Bridget and Masters Blazing, both Win and place, from your selections yesterday. As for Kepton (AW) I rarely back there, far better for laying, all 8 favourites lost last night…….
Keep going.
Best regards
M.
Betfair. Forgot those moaning . It’s a free service and an excellent one at that . A couple of winners and everyone will be happy. You could charge a lot just for your NAPs alone. Keep going mate.
Just thought I’d chip in too.
Please keep going, every system goes through bad runs. All it means is a few winners are due! I follow the Forecast in Greyhounds. The favourite selection went 50 races without a win recently then won 4 out of the next 6. Just how it goes sometimes, it all works itself out in the end
Selections for Thursday 8th November.
There are 4 races for this afternoon all look good with some decent odds and I would fully expect a decent return today. Our first race looks the toughest and we have the fav to beat in the third race but I fully expect to get a good run for our money on both the selections.
Good odds also on the nap bet and again we should be thereabouts with our selections.
1.40: Lingfield
No1: Isingy Red £5 win @ 10′s
No10: Men Don’t Cry £5 win @ 9.2
2.20: Towcester **NAP**
No6: Sail And Return £10 win @ 9.2
No8: Be My Light £10 win @ 6.8
3.00: Musselburgh
No4: Monetary Fund £5 win @ 5.2
No6: Solway Bay £5 PLACE @ 3.95
4.00: Musselburgh
No3: Endeavor £5 win @ 6.2
No9: Laybach £5 win @ 7.4
Theres also Wolverhamptom tonight so will post any selections at around 4.30. I won’t be around during today & tomorrow as I have 2.5 tonnes of chippings getting delivered and have to deal with that, so will try to answer anything that may crop up in the evenings.
Luckily one of my son’s has booked a day off work so he’ll be doing most of the hard graft whilst I will mainly “manage” the project.
Before I leave and do some “proper man work” I’d just like to share a few stats courtesy of PP, which I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing and goes a long way I think to ma
