Just 10 days until the big one but there’s plenty of good stuff between now and then – take these free tips from Luke Towler for example!
Enjoy this week’s column and, as ever, if you have any comments for either myself or Luke you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Diamonds in the rough
Positive results last time out – 2/3 on the rugby and 1/2 on the NFL.
I’ve spent the best part of the week rifling through spreadsheets and form charts looking to track down the best punting chances out there in the betting wilderness…
Good news is I’ve found them!
For all those egg chasing fans I have the following gems:
GLASGOW WARRIORS TO BEAT RACING 92 WITH A -4 HANDICAP: 10/11 GENERALLY
MUNSTER TO BEAT LEICESTER WITH A -4 HANDICAP: 10/11 GENERALLY
WASPS TO BEAT CONNAUGHT WITH A -6 HANDICAP: 10/11 GENEALLY
Glasgow are looking very tidy at the moment and I know Racing are also a quality side but going to Scotland on a cold, possibly wet December night is right up there with going to Stoke!
Munster wiped the floor with Leicester last week and it is very difficult to see the midlands side getting within five points of the paddies!
Connaught got within reach of Wasps before getting outclassed late on and I strongly fancy the away side to beat the handicap with some comfort.
NFL and a Premier League double
Here are your US runners and riders:
MIAMI DOLPHINS TO BEAT THE NEW YORK JETS: 10/13 SPORTING BET
NEW YORK GIANTS TO BEAT THE DETROIT LIONS WITH A -3.5 POINT HANDICAP: 20/23 GENERALLY
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS TO BEAT THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS: 9/5 CORAL
Dolphins are a threat on the offensive side, especially on the run.
Yes the Jets came from a country mile behind to beat San Francisco last Sunday but I’d fancy me and the boys to beat that mob at the moment.
Giants toppled the much fancied Dallas Cowboys in a low scoring game on their last outing so it’s hard not to see Manning and Beckham Jr not linking up for a score or two in this one!
Yes, I can hear the loud gasps at the Colts tip but they have Andrew Luck and in Minnesota they take on a low scoring, error prone and injury hit team.
One more for the double fans:
MIDDLESBROUGH AND WEST HAM BOTH TO WIN: 3.58 MARATHON
Short and sweet… Boro’ play Swansea who have Buffalo Bob in charge while Hull look to be on the longest slide in football history!
