Another winner last night, this time at 5/2, as we maintained our late Advent surge. Tonight I’m bidding to make it four on the trot with a ‘specials’ bet.
December 22nd – Specials – Mo Farah to win Sports Personality of the Year WITHOUT Mark Cavendish – 5/2 with Paddy Power
Judging by the bookies’ odds and the word on the street, Mark Cavendish has this sewn up, which has shifted my attention to the W/O Cavendish market.
This looks for all the world to be a four horse race between Darren Clarke, Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Mo Farah…
Can you spot the odd one out?!
For the less sporting of you, Farah is the only non-golfer there, which means that his vote won’t be subject to the same split as that of the other three.
In addition, the two golfers with the best chance – Clarke and McIlroy – are both from Northern Ireland, thus creating yet another split in the vote.
As a consequence I can see Mo nipping into second spot and the 5/2 on such an occurrence looks more than fair.
My Sports Personality of the Year…
Any man that can win a major sporting title while puffing his way through a packet of cigs will always be a hero of mine.
